He seeds the wings with a crucial mortal Gu, which turns to jade green light and grows fine green hair across them. His guts Gu trade is thriving, leaving him no shortage of immortal essence stones, which is why he wants goods rather than currency this time. Such corpses are normally rare and popular, selling within hours. A spark sets the green hair alight in a quick flare of green fire, and when it clears the hair is gone, leaving bare black wings coated in thick ash. Fang Yuan calls it a failure. The wings, already ruined by the wound that let Shi Lei kill the star demon bat, crumble into pieces the moment he breathes on them.
