Du Min Jun inheritance is the courtyard legacy of northern plains Poet Immortal Du Min Jun, left at his final residence on Xing Jiu peak.
Gu Masters already on Xing Jiu peak had found an inheritance that opens every seven days: soaring starlight, a starlight door, and insect groups with wild Gu that hold the entrance as a test. Fang Yuan takes charge, draws the insects aside until a gap opens, then enters with his wolf group while leaving wolves to hold the door. ch. 550
Past the door stands a courtyard built of blue metal, abstract in shape and matching no style of the five regions. Thin light cotton covers the yard. Fang Yuan searches all six rooms and finds no mechanisms for tests or traps. There he receives the entire inheritance left by the courtyard master and learns the master was northern plains’ great poet Du Min Jun, a rank five Gu Master called Vagrant Lone Star, the famous Poet Immortal of northern plains, who built his final residence on Xing Jiu peak and ended his own life there more than a hundred years earlier. ch. 550
The haul is extremely valuable. First is emotion poetry Gu, used to store emotions and named with painting idea Gu as a wisdom path Gu, rare and expensive. Next are large numbers of star path Gu worms of all types, basically covering the star path Gu of northern plains. Du Min Jun also founded a set of recipes: rank one a bit of star Gu, rank two brilliance of two stars Gu, rank three three stars in the sky Gu, rank four four stars cube Gu, and rank five five stars aligned Gu. That set targets star path Gu and raises their effects by a huge degree, treated as equivalent to a non-mainstream amplify effect Gu, with a much higher success rate and extremely common refinement materials. ch. 550
One trial
Du Min Jun was a righteous path Gu Master, so the inheritance is a righteous path inheritance with only one trial, and that trial is not difficult. Fang Yuan takes all that is valuable from the rooms. He tells the Gu Masters outside that Poet Immortal Du Min Jun set the inheritance and that beautiful treasures remain inside. Pan Ping and Zhu Zai then find only Du Min Jun’s original poems; the Gu worms and Gu recipes are gone. ch. 551
Fang Yuan is not a star path Gu Master, but he judges that refining the set would help open the stargate to Hu Immortal blessed land by stretching each starlight firefly Gu further. He also finds the recipe thought process unlike the usual viewpoint and credits Poet Immortal with deep knowledge. ch. 551
Killer move fusion
When Fang Yuan later creates icy drill stardust, he says he found this inheritance in Imperial Court blessed land from the famous northern plains poet Dou Min Jun, fused that star Gu that raises star path attack power into the killer move, and thereby slightly surpassed icy stardust. After that fusion, icy drill stardust is priced at four immortal essence stones in treasure yellow heaven. ch. 670 ch. 684 ch. 712 ch. 732
Modification difficulty
Fang Yuan later estimates that modifying Dou Min Jun’s star path inheritance to create a new star path Gu that would amplify attacking, defending, movement, and healing in star path Gu worms would need at least quasi-great grandmaster attainment. In that same assessment, a bit of star Gu through five stars aligned Gu are said to amplify the offense of star path Gu worms. ch. 711
