Fang Yuan is no star path Gu Master, yet refining the set of star Gu from Du Min Jun’s inheritance would be a huge help in opening the stargate to Hu Immortal blessed land. He has invested heavily in starlight firefly Gu there, adding air bubble fish. Even so, spending still exceeds production. Imperial Court blessed land has no starlight in the sky, so each opening costs even more fireflies. With the set, one firefly would do the work of a few, cutting the expense several times over. ch. 551
He finds the recipe’s thought process unlike the norm and credits Du Min Jun with incredible ideas. He takes everything of value from the inheritance and returns. Du Min Jun was a righteous path Gu Master, so the inheritance has only one trial, and it is not difficult. Back on the peak, he finds the worm group dispersed. ch. 551
Pan Ping approaches, asking what Fang Yuan gained, meaning to claim a share. Zhu Zai congratulates him, saying nothing of splitting the gains. Fang Yuan answers that Poet Immortal Du Min Jun set the inheritance and beautiful treasures remain inside for them. He flies off on the azure myriad wolf king. Pan Ping shouts that the rules entitle them to compensation for restraining the worm group, and asks to see what he obtained. Fang Yuan has the azure wolves surround and charge Pan Ping. ch. 551
Pan Ping, rank four peak stage with a complete set of Gu worms, fights with all his moves. After Pan Ping kills several wolves, he is bleeding profusely and desperate. Zhu Zai urges calm because Pan Ping is Hei Lou Lan’s beloved general, and his death would doom Zhu Zai, who wants to join Hei tribe. Fang Yuan says he is not angry, and the wolves attack more fiercely. Zhu Zai begs mercy, saying Pan Ping is going to die. ch. 551
Fang Yuan stops the attack, saying a junior who does not respect seniors needs a lesson. The wolves pull back but keep the encirclement, and Pan Ping collapses. Asked whether the lesson was enough, Zhu Zai, seeing overwhelming killing intent in Fang Yuan’s calm gaze, says it was and tells Pan Ping to apologise. Pan Ping apologises, vowing inwardly to repay the humiliation a hundredfold. Killed by three heads six arms in the battle against Liu tribe and revived by Tai Bai Yun Sheng, he feels blessed by the heavens. Fang Yuan considers killing Pan Ping, since Hei Lou Lan would not pursue the matter. But it would be a demonic act that clashes with his identity and does not help his plans at all, and Pan Ping’s sole blade Gu would probably not reach him. ch. 551
Fang Yuan spares Pan Ping and demands compensation for fifteen dead wolves. Pan Ping, extremely furious, agrees. When Fang Yuan asks whether the others need lessons, they refuse in fear. He extorts all of Pan Ping’s Gu recipes and several Gu worms, critical to his set, without which his strength would fall by at least two levels. Fang Yuan rises on the wolf, telling everyone that unique things remain inside to take. ch. 551
Once Fang Yuan vanishes, everyone moves toward the starlight door. Zhu Zai and Pan Ping charge in first. They find only Du Min Jun’s original poems, since Fang Yuan swept away every Gu worm and Gu recipe. Zhu Zai laughs bitterly, and Pan Ping, who hoped to recoup his losses, vomits blood and faints from anger. ch. 551
Several days later, Fang Yuan rides the wolf king, thinking the sacred palace should be close. Looking at the ground below, he finds the terrain so familiar. ch. 551
