Three treemen pound the light barrier around Frost Jade Peacock, whose huge wings are sealed by gold. The land spirit tells its masters it cannot hold on any longer. Fang Yuan is closing in, and the weakened barrier is no obstacle to him. Ma Hong Yun and Zhao Lian Yun cannot sense him. ^{ch. 617}

She appears in his mind, certain that she senses the aura of fortune rivalling heaven Gu. For her lover Bo Qing she had risked entering the true inheritance secluded domain to steal that Gu from the luck path true inheritance. She only partly succeeded. The Gu flew into the crack she made and vanished. From a portion of the inheritance details she refined calamity beckoning Gu, which was inferior, and used it to help Bo Qing with his tribulation, but they both died. Fang Yuan later found her inheritance and promised to return Water Pavilion, a rank seven Gu House, to Spirit Affinity House. ^{ch. 617}

It is a one time expenditure rank eight Gu, formless and ethereal, a lump of luck extremely difficult to capture by ordinary methods. Giant Sun’s will once tried to exterminate Zhao Lian Yun, but Ma Hong Yun protected her. Fang Yuan then pulled out True Yang Building, drawing the heavenly tribulation onto the will, which was expelled, and the timing let the pair escape death. Mo Yao answers that a rank five mortal Gu cannot discover luck created by a rank eight Immortal Gu. She adds that he can check his own luck, since acting against a child of luck worsens one’s own. Fang Yuan uses luck inspection Gu.
