Chapter 1606

Several days later in the sovereign immortal aperture’s time, Fang Yuan’s time path clone stands before the formation in Mini Green Heaven with the Formation Spirit and Ying Wu Xie. A Pure Dream Reality Seeker Physique body drags only the lower half of the sleeping Xia Cha out of her dream realm, since her aperture lies near her stomach. Fang Yuan’s main body sends in great thief ghost hand. A passive rank seven time path defence blocks the hand even though she sleeps. Fang Yuan has tried for days, and with his time path attainment level and the light of wisdom he has deduced a way to remove it. A second killer move dims the dao marks on her body, and the hand slips into her aperture. ^{ch. 1606}

Fang Yuan notes that his formation ambush on the Southern Border pursuers spared the important time path Immortal Gu but destroyed almost all the mortal Gu used and multiple rank six ones, rather damaging his plan in the River of Time. The hand returns clenched around a struggling Gu, and Ying Wu Xie cheers that a rank eight Immortal Gu was stolen at the very first attempt. The Formation Spirit warns that there seems to be a disturbance in Xia Cha’s soul, so the Physique body drags her back into the dream realm until she stabilises. Time path seems to have greatly shortened her time to waking. The struggling Gu cannot escape the hand, which borrows the power of the rank nine killer move ghostly concealment, and Fang Yuan’s many methods let him refine it. It is a milky white silkworm with a mulberry leaf on its head, a rank eight time path Immortal Gu he guesses to be Spring. Used alone, spring Gu can bring spring to an area, melting ice and snow and growing new sprouts. ^{ch. 1606}

He postpones testing it, since soul searching Xia Cha will reveal its use and her spring scissors. First he must extract her soul from her body, and before that steal every Gu worm in her aperture. The second theft yields only a rank five mortal Gu, a huge contrast with the first. Fang Yuan realises that the effect of unlucky year has disappeared and that the luck gap between him and Xia Cha has narrowed by a lot. He keeps using unlucky year on her and steals often. After more than ten days he holds a large amount of mortal Gu and her four Immortal Gu, a complete set of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. ^{ch. 1606}

Spring Gu and summer Gu are rank eight, while autumn Gu and winter Gu are rank seven. Summer Gu looks like a palm-sized black mosquito with three pairs of thin wings, autumn Gu a dark red cricket carved from ancient wood, and winter Gu a gray pupa giving off cold air. Later thefts yield only mortal Gu, so he conjectures she likely had only these four. They are all time path Immortal Gu and greatly fill his huge demand for such Gu. His pressure greatly dissipates, since Xia Cha without Immortal Gu would be extremely weak even if she woke. He still needs a soul search to learn how to use them. ^{ch. 1606}

His plan is to take the Immortal Gu of every captive, extract their souls, and only then move on their apertures. He must slow the stealing, because his immortal essence has fallen to a dangerous level. The year Gu business is doing dismally in treasure yellow heaven, his dragonfish business cannot support his enormous expenditure, and Dang Hun Mountain is still recovering. Even so, none of this goes beyond his control. He sneers that it is time for Southern Border’s forces to bleed. He plans to extort immortal essence stones and large amounts of resources to feed his new Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 1606}
