Falling Heavenly River

The source presents as an enormous waterfall falling from endless height. Boundless water crashes into the riverbed with rumbling like continuous thunder, and endless water vapor forms dense fog over a vast span of the shore. ^{ch. 955} The surging river water is white and filled with vitality, with ferocious beasts, aquatic plants, hidden currents, whirlpools, and other natural traps within. ^{ch. 957} After sword lights cut beasts at the source, nearby river water can run blood red, and the white heavenly river can be dyed blood red while corpses fill the water. ^{ch. 955 ch. 957}

The source presents as an enormous waterfall falling from endless height, with water crashing into the riverbed and fog covering a wide span of the shore. By day the current is so strong that even rank eight Gu Immortals cannot resist its momentum; by night the flow slows enough that a rank seven can barely resist it. ^{ch. 955} The water holds vitality, ferocious beasts, aquatic plants, hidden currents, whirlpools, and other natural traps that can kill a Gu Immortal. ^{ch. 957}

Bo Qing perished at the source during his tribulation, and Spirit Affinity House records point investigators there. Sword lights burst from the riverbed, cut an immemorial desolate beast myriad eyes clear bull apart, and slash the bank. ^{ch. 955} Their range covers the whole of Central Continent. After the lights stop, the river is filled with corpses of ancient and immemorial desolate beasts and plants, and the white water runs blood red. Sects and lone cultivators treat the source as a gathering point for inheritance and profit. ^{ch. 957} At the riverbed source, an immortal zombie matching Bo Qing floats in light while Gu Immortals of the ten great sects, demonic path, and lone cultivators contend over the body and the Immortal Gu auras still on it. Almost every immortal who entered earlier already gained from severed beast and plant remains cut by the sword lights. ^{ch. 959}

At least thirty Gu Immortals gather at the bottom of the source while Bo Qing’s remaining wills and Immortal Gu keep them at bay with sword lights. Bai Cang Shui, a rank eight water path Gu Immortal, descends for Heavenly Court and moves to seal the site, then starlight strikes the zombie and Bo Qing opens his eyes. Fresh sword lights turn the riverbed into a bloody field of Gu Immortal corpses. Seven Star Child, Song Zi Xing, and Yu Mu Chun land immediately after. ^{ch. 960}

Fang Yuan waits for the sword lights to finish so beasts, plants, and natural traps are temporarily cleared, then finds the river dyed blood red with immortal materials in view. ^{ch. 993} Lifeforms there are mostly water path, then earth, metal, wind, light, and dark path, with few fire path lives. He pulls rank eight materials from the surface, including a myriad eyes clear bull head, while beasts and plants fight over the rest in the frothing water. ^{ch. 994} Immortal zombie Bo Qing later leaves the river and rises as waves beat the shore; many Gu Immortal corpses remain on the riverbed, and he moves with Seven Star Child, Song Zi Xing, and Yu Mu Chun toward Heavenly Lotus. ^{ch. 997}

In history, an immemorial desolate beast once forced the river to change direction and flood Central Continent’s central lands until Heavenly Court Gu Immortal Sea Calming Lord returned it to its course. ^{ch. 1247}
