Chapter 960

At least thirty Gu Immortals gather at Falling Heavenly River’s source, staring at the light around Bo Qing’s zombie, very alert to rivals. The strongest are the ten great sects’ immortals: Jin Lie Yang, Hong Chi Ming, Qi Yun Tian and others. The most threatening is Fairy Bai Qing. ^{ch. 960}

Jin Lie Yang presses that the ten sects must unite or lone cultivators might seize Bo Qing’s sword path Immortal Gu, accusing her sect of greed. She stays silent. She cannot resist them alone at rank seven. Recovering Bo Qing’s body matters greatly to her sect, and the other nine, thinking it weakened since Feng Jiu Ge is missing and presumed dead, will not let it rise again. ^{ch. 960}

A vast rank eight aura then surges: Heavenly Court is taking charge, a voice declares, as a female immortal descends, the rank eight water path Gu Immortal Bai Cang Shui. The standoff shifts at once. ^{ch. 960}

At Heavenly Court, Heaven Overseeing Tower stands rebuilt once more, having truly lost only the worms nearest the wound. It is a rank nine House with incredible defense. ^{ch. 960}

The Tower Lord still carries a growing, ominous feeling. He sends fate Gu ahead and climbs the stairs, the walls half-blurred since fate Gu can use only half its power. ^{ch. 960}

At the sixtieth step the image clears: the nameless Southern Border peak and its ancient battle. The old man frowns unconsciously. He recognizes the rank eight immortal zombie and the House Graceful Chaotic Duel Stage, and a very bright red lotus mark on the stranger’s forehead: an inheritor of Red Lotus’ true inheritance. Red Lotus Demon Venerable once damaged fate Immortal Gu and tormented Heavenly Court’s immortals for over a million years. ^{ch. 960}

Bai Cang Shui’s face turns to disappointment before she conceals it and begins sealing the site with a Gu formation. Starlight then shoots through the incomplete formation and strikes Bo Qing. Countless sword lights burst out, turning the world white. The Tower Lord sees Gu Immortal corpses in pieces and Bai Cang Shui’s head rolling away with streams of blood, her eyes still open. She has died. ^{ch. 960}

Three figures land: Seven Star Child first, then Song Zi Xing and Yu Mu Chun. Seven Star Child laughs and greets the newly awakened Bo Qing, calling him Azure. Bo Qing’s eyes turn ruthless, and sword light shoots out, catching Seven Star Child off guard. It slices him in half; his own immortal zombie body is useless against it. ^{ch. 960}

His death stuns Song Zi Xing and Yu Mu Chun. One cries that Envoy Azure has killed Vice Envoy Blue. The other corrects him: this is not Envoy Azure, his mind filled with heaven’s will and another’s remnant soul living inside him. ^{ch. 960}

Bo Qing turns to look at them, expressionless. They see no killing intent, only the impartial way of heaven, and sink into despair. As people who escaped fate, they are heaven’s targets for elimination. An intense aura of death engulfs them, and against this pseudo-Immortal Venerable they can neither escape nor dodge, only await their deaths. ^{ch. 960}
