Hong Chi Ming

During the Northern Plains investigation after True Yang Building collapses, he prefers the original name Thatched Hut for Modest Thatched Hut and recounts that Late Antiquity Era’s Three Thatch Demon Immortal created it, that Dong Fang Yu later inherited it, and that Dong Fang Yu renamed it Modest Thatched Hut for reputation after returning to Dong Fang tribe. He says that before becoming an immortal he had explored Northern Plains as a mortal and lived there for some time, so he knew those details clearly. ^{ch. 811}

Narration names him as coming from Wind Cloud Manor, one of the ten great ancient sects of Central Continent, skilled in Gu formations and famous in Central Continent. A Gu formation he set up lets Fairy Ling Mei vanish and reappear far away at the moment between life and death during the Luo Po Valley breakout, and a later wall of light in that fight is also his work even while he is not inside it. ^{ch. 923}
