Asura Ouyang, Losses to both sides
Bian Si Xuan, called Shadow Sword Expert, steps to the front of the troop and starts the fight with Ouyang Bi Sang. She is far more famous but only at rank four upper stage against his rank four peak stage, and with Gu worms that complement each other very well she circles him as shadows, striking with sword shadows. Ouyang Bi Sang stays where he is and defends. Growing impatient, he shouts that she should die if that is all she has, and activates rank five asura zombie Gu. His teeth lengthen, green hair covers his body, his blood flow slows greatly, and his eyes turn cold green. Asura zombie Gu belongs to transformation path’s classic zombie series, which runs from rank two roaming zombie Gu to rank five flying zombie Gu. It is one of the five great flying zombie Gu, beside heavenly demon zombie, blood wight, nightmare zombie and plague zombie, and as famous as blood wight Gu, which Fang Yuan saw on Qing Mao mountain. ch. 526
Her sword shadows now strike sparks from Ouyang Bi Sang’s body without injuring him. She uses overlapping shadow Gu, bought with battle merits at Hei tribe supply camp, to merge the shadows into one extremely condensed sword that matches a rank five attack Gu. Ouyang Bi Sang grabs the sword shadow with his right hand and bursts it, and the shards cut deep into him and slash apart four fingers of that hand. He feels no pain, and the wounds and fingers heal within seconds. Bian Si Xuan turns pale at the sight; the grab was a psychological tactic, and his defense and recovery have risen several fold. His performance greatly weakens her battle intent, and she thinks open challenge is not an assassin’s style. After ten more moves, mostly dodging, she retreats toward Hei tribe camp. ch. 526
Liu tribe’s morale rises while Hei tribe’s shakes. Hei tribe’s onlookers note that Ouyang Bi Sang has used only asura zombie Gu, not his killer move asura transformation, which has killed a rank five expert. Judging that Bian Si Xuan has drained much of his primeval essence, Hei tribe sends Pan Ping to battle. Pan Ping soon cannot stall and uses rank four sole blade Gu, which ignores defense only with some probability and then needs eight hours of rest. The attack fails, though its speed shocks Ouyang Bi Sang. He pounces to kill Pan Ping, who retreats, and Hei tribe sends three rank four experts to block him. ch. 526
Mo Shi Kuang charges out of the main tent to help, but Ouyang Bi Sang tells him not to interfere and uses asura transformation. He grows into a giant of over ten feet with six arms and a third eye. He swats one expert far away, smashes another into blood paste, and crushes the third to death despite pleas. Liu tribe cheers, and Hei tribe’s morale falls. ch. 526
Liu Wen Wu orders all troops to charge, and Hei Lou Lan prepares to receive them. Liu tribe’s great experts rampage, putting Hei Lou Lan and the higher-ups at a disadvantage from the very start. Among the low ranks Hei tribe is winning, as Fang Yuan’s wolf group slaughters Liu tribe’s Gu Masters. Even the wolves that die have contributed greatly. Liu tribe’s experts search for Fang Yuan, but he hides in a corner of the battlefield, concealed by three rank four lurking soul coat Gu as long as he uses no more than eighty percent of his strength. ch. 526
The battle lasts from early morning to evening. Liu tribe suffers disastrous losses to the wolf group, so its experts, unable to find Fang Yuan, target Hei tribe’s experts. Hei tribe’s experts suffer serious damage, and Mo Shi Kuang and Ouyang Bi Sang prove hard to restrain. At nightfall Liu Wen Wu, unwilling to see more low ranked casualties, thinks of retreating. The first battle ends in a draw, and both sides withdraw behind their defense lines. ch. 526
