Chapter 1683

In immemorial white heaven, blinking birds circling a seven-colored cloud chirp warnings at Fang Yuan, until a trace of aura leaks from his body. The birds, the fastest desolate beasts, vanish at once, leaving the cloud floating alone. He had wanted to capture them, but they react extremely fast and he is not highly proficient at concealing his aura. He identifies the cloud as seven-colored cloud soil, a rank seven immortal material whose value in such quantity is very high. The soil holds nests of blinking bird eggs, and he means to use them as Gu refining materials rather than hatch them. ^{ch. 1683}

Since refining heaven form over a month ago, Fang Yuan has roamed white heaven for immortal materials while refining Gu in his sovereign immortal aperture. Man as Before, Landscape as Before, Self Strength, Pulling Mountain, Pulling Water, Dog Shit Luck, Time Luck and others have advanced to rank seven. He changes his plan slightly, advancing luck path Immortal Gu first. Their rank seven effect brings many immortal materials from white heaven. His refinement path attainment is quasi-supreme grandmaster but his experience has been thin, and repeated advancing has remedied his problems and raised his success rate by a large degree. ^{ch. 1683}

Fang Yuan still chooses white heaven over the Earth Trenches of the five regions, where he would have to show himself and might very likely fight. Each Immortal Gu’s advancement adds only a little strength, not enough to offset exposing his trump cards in the River of Time, and an intense battle would burn his white litchi immortal essence intensely. Grotto-heavens are different. Each has a complete ecosystem, and annexing one would enlarge his aperture, raise his cultivation and dao marks, and skip tribulations. He prefers to rob Immortal Gu from grotto-heavens with thief ghost hand over chasing wild ones from Earth Trenches. ^{ch. 1683}

In Heavenly Court, Fairy Zi Wei finishes a formation, calls Spectral Soul’s soul replacement killer move ingenious, and leaves without pressing him to surrender. She has been frequently plundering his memories, and admits that in soul path even Heavenly Court’s enormous efforts cannot match him. She calls it a tragedy that he is reduced to a prisoner, the most destitute among the venerables, who cannot even seek death. She is sure he still holds the dream path research lead soul into dream, which Heavenly Court has mostly deciphered but would find extremely valuable. Spectral Soul cannot withstand the full strength of the Heavenly Court grotto-heaven. Still he resists, extremely crafty, leaking minor information to stall for time. Caught off guard the first time, he lost the Pure Dream Reality Seeker Physique’s information, and since then he abandons less important information to protect the true secrets. ^{ch. 1683}

Fairy Zi Wei holds that his resistance is in vain and that time favours Heavenly Court. She adds that the Refinement Path Convention’s preparations are underway and that a fully restored Fate Immortal Gu will leave Spectral Soul in fate’s tracks. Her thoughts turn to Feng Jin Huang. Duke Long gave Feng Jin Huang the research results on the Pure Dream Reality Seeker Physique, his first genuine imparting of knowledge, though the work was someone else’s. Because Feng Jin Huang’s Immortal Gu was needed, Fairy Zi Wei deduced suitable killer moves with her to resolve the dream realm around Dragon Palace. After the deduction succeeded, Feng Jin Huang found a method to improve the physique into a brand new body without its previous flaws that could last indefinitely. Fairy Zi Wei sighs mentally that even she feels ordinary beside the truly terrifying talent of a venerable. ^{ch. 1683}
