At Southern Border’s super Gu formation, Ba Quan Feng wonders why Wu Yi Hai, Wu Yong’s half brother and a high status member of Wu clan, stays so patiently secluded instead of acting overbearingly. Old Treeman Ba De says this Wu Yi Hai is not simple, harder to deal with than the rank seven Wu clan Gu Immortal from before. Ba Quan Feng laughs that he is merely a lone cultivator from Eastern Sea. Ba De counters that an ordinary cultivator could not run the immortal opportunity business this well, and that Wu Yi Hai has ignored every taunt in silence, making him far more dangerous than the rest of Wu clan. ch. 1231
Impressed, Ba Quan Feng suggests they ruin the immortal opportunity business to force Wu Yi Hai out. Ba De refuses: exposing the business, already forbidden, would collapse it without harming Wu Yi Hai, while drawing the other six clans’ hostility onto Ba clan alone. Wu Yi Hai would then benefit and unite those clans into a tighter political force. Ba De tells him to wait for a better opportunity, since the one they could create now is small and insignificant. Ba Quan Feng grits his teeth, asking how long they must wait. Ba De’s expression turns cold, and Ba Quan Feng, feeling immense pressure, steps back as Ba De calls him too rash. ch. 1231
Ba De explains that Wu clan, though it lost a rank eight Gu Immortal, remains a huge force, and that no clan wants to strike first since nobody has found its true foundation. If Ba clan struck first, it alone would suffer while the rest benefited. He orders Ba Quan Feng into seclusion too, matching Wu Yi Hai. Ba Quan Feng, bitter, acknowledges the order and leaves. ch. 1231
Outside, every Gu Immortal believes Wu Yi Hai, Fang Yuan’s identity, is in closed door cultivation, and nobody suspects a dream realm. Inside, at its seventh scene, Young Master Long holds a huge advantage, his rank five peak cultivation and dragonman constitution giving him a dragon scale’s defense and a dragon blood’s regeneration on par with rank five Gu worms, against Fang Yuan’s mere rank five. Young Master Long taunts the badly injured Fang Yuan to surrender. Fang Yuan stays silent, only needing to stall until a chance occurs. ch. 1231
With seven breaths left, Fang Yuan casts his immortal killer move, unravel dream, and Young Master Long trips over a rock and falls flat on his face, silencing the arena. Ashamed, he charges again, but Fang Yuan, unable to fight back further, casts unravel dream a second time. Young Master Long’s pants tear apart completely, and the crowd bursts into laughter as his face flushes red with rage. He screams that he will kill Fang Yuan and charges once more. ch. 1231
As the seven breaths run out, Young Master Long’s entire body self detonates, splattering his dragon blood across Fang Yuan’s face. A Gu Master accuses Fang Yuan of using some evil method and calls him a blood path demon. The spectating dragonmen then self detonate one after another, throwing the surviving Gu Masters into chaos. The seventh scene, which had held Fang Yuan for three days, finally ends. Fang Yuan later fails the eighth scene and leaves the dream realm. ch. 1231
He treats his injuries at once, since the dream realm damaged his soul. His outstanding soul foundation and guts Gu make it no problem, and more than ten breaths later his soul is as good as before. His water path attainment level was originally not even master level. It rose to quasi-grandmaster, since the dream realm’s protagonist was a water path cultivator whose achievements he judges were definitely above rank six. With this attainment, he judges he can annex most of the blessed lands inside City Well, in Eastern Sea. ch. 1231
