Northern Plains Mountain

A mountain inside Qian Kun Crystal Wall in the Legends of Ren Zu, linked to the origin of writing.

While inspecting grey-white stone slabs in Ge tribe camp, Fang Yuan recalls that Carefree Wisdom Heart came to the Qian Kun Crystal Wall to save wisdom Gu. Narration describes that wall floating in mid air like a giant mirror, and that inside the mirror there was a book mountain. On the book mountain an ink waterfall landed on the mountain rocks to form a literature spring, and black splashes from that spring formed into words, the origin of the hundred clan writing system. After the wall broke into grey-white stone slabs, legends say gathering all slabs could restore Qian Kun Crystal Wall and let a Gu Master enter book mountain again. Fang Yuan has never thought of collecting every slab to restore book mountain, since even a rank nine Gu Venerable did not succeed. ch. 495

Appearance

Inside Qian Kun Crystal Wall, which floats in mid air like a giant mirror, there is a book mountain. An ink waterfall lands on the mountain rocks and forms a literature spring. Black splashes from that spring fly in the air and form into words. ch. 495 The Ink Waterfall crashes down on the Literature Spring, and raging ink falls on the rocks. ch. 497

Inkman homeland

Narration states that inkman was recorded in the Legends of Ren Zu and that their homeland was the Book Mountain. The book mountain had an Ink Waterfall which would crash down on the Literature Spring, and the raging ink would fall on the rocks, forming inkmen. ch. 497

Written characters legend

Fang Yuan reads inkman characters and recalls the legend that splashes of literature water on Book Mountain in Qian Kun Crystal Wall created the first written characters in this world. Those characters had been lost long ago, and even inkmen barely knew them after being chased out of Book Mountain. He notes that many Gu Immortals are interested in Book Mountain and search for grey-white stone slabs to recreate Qian Kun Crystal Wall. ch. 566

Black and white rocks

The mountain is surrounded in the two colors of black and white. When it shakes, black and white rocks fly from it. ch. 2179
