Chapter 566

Fang Yuan is overwhelmed with awe, for the Gu Immortal who created Di Qiu inheritance is definitely a grandmaster of refinement, and Fang Yuan, though the executor, is really only an assistant. The cave becomes a black water spiral, and from it rises a brand new small tower with seemingly countless Gu worms inside. Yet the Immortal Gu does not appear. ^{ch. 566}

In the tower he finds a flickering strong light and feels a weak connection, which tells him it is the early stage of the Immortal Gu. As he is about to lure it out, the light escapes towards the southeast. He hesitates over the sacred palace, where his absence draws suspicion, and unknown to him his enemy Chang Biao helps him indirectly. Meanwhile Tang Miao Ming takes great risks and passes a round, and a huge cheer rises inside Eighty-Eight True Yang Building. Fang Yuan decides after a moment that the Immortal Gu matters most and chases the light. ^{ch. 566}

The light grows dimmer but faster, and though rank five peak stage, he lacks the mortal realm’s peak speed and finds the chase very tough, yet never loses sight of it. The light vanishes into a waterfall in a valley. Although the connection says it is still there, he diverts the water and even destroys the waterfall without finding a trace. The waterfall has already become a pool, extremely ordinary, in a nameless valley. ^{ch. 566}

He tries many investigative methods, and the fifty-seventh, after a considerable expense in immortal essence stones, shows him the silhouette of a pavilion in the pool. He enters the water but cannot enter the pavilion, and after several tries he recognizes it as the long lost Immortal Gu house Water Pavilion. This rank seven house was the signature method of Shui Ni, the rank eight Gu Immortal who created the water path and founded Spirit Affinity House. Without the token it could repel even rank eight Gu Immortals, but now it is ownerless with its doors open. He needs to become water to enter. ^{ch. 566}

Hu Immortal land spirit buys him a rank five current charge Gu in treasure yellow heaven, more convenient than the killer move water spirit transformation. He turns into a current, rushes into the three layered pavilion and keeps the Gu once inside. On the third floor he finds the early stage Immortal Gu, like a thumb-sized cocoon, in a large red bowl of cold blue liquid. The Gu is still not complete. The mysterious Gu Immortal placed Water Pavilion here to give it a good place to nurture itself. ^{ch. 566}

Inkman characters, lost long ago and barely known even to inkmen, are written on the bowl, and he can decipher only a portion. By legend, these were the world’s first written characters, born when literature water splashed onto Book Mountain in Qian Kun Crystal Wall. At a hefty price he has little Hu Immortal exchange for information on inkman language, and he deciphers the rest on the spot. The inheritance was created by Mo Yao. ^{ch. 566}

Mo Yao, thirty-sixth generation fairy of Spirit Affinity House, was an inkman who broke her race’s limits to reach rank seven as a Gu Immortal. Her contributions to the righteous path were tremendous, and her love reformed the demonic Bo Qing of ten thousand years ago. A lone cultivator who created sword path Gu worms, he rose to rank eight peak stage and was called a pseudo-Immortal Venerable whose sword split the five regions. He was even a hot favorite to advance to rank nine. His attempt failed and turned him to ashes, and Mo Yao, his wife, resisted with her life and died beside him. Fang Yuan reasons that Spirit Affinity House sent numerous female Gu Immortals to Giant Sun Immortal Venerable as concubines, a few of whom gained his favor, so Mo Yao’s understanding of Eighty-Eight True Yang Building greatly surpassed that of ordinary people. That explains Water Pavilion, and the inkman words name the Immortal Gu as calamity beckoning Gu. ^{ch. 566}
