When Hei Lou Lan is about to send Pan Ping for the first challenge, Dong Fang Yu Liang instead sends her against Wolf King Chang Shan Yin. Camp talk treats the challenge as a plan against the Wolf King. She has a lovely body. When the wolf tide hits, her face turns as pale as paper. ^{ch. 509} Later, injured in bed, she covers her lips with a handkerchief and her beautiful brows furrow deeply in pain. ^{ch. 567}

Fox commander

She is Tang tribe’s specially cultivated enslavement path female Gu Master at rank four middle stage, likes foxes, and has exquisite control over them, though she has no notable achievements in history before this challenge. Dong Fang Yu Liang had found her not long before: she is strong with small fox groups and, with her supporting Gu, can match an enslavement path master in that scale of fight, so he uses her to scheme against the Wolf King in public. Fang Yuan, under the Chang Shan Yin name, refuses a limited duel and waves a five hundred thousand wolf tide instead; she holds for a time with a thousand-beast fox round formation, then collapses when Hei tribe’s charge arrives, and Pan Ping captures her for Hei Lou Lan.
