Chu Sect

Fang Yuan calls that Chu Sect is taking over Become Dragon Mound. A Bai Zu Gu Immortal asks what Chu Sect is and says he has never heard of it. Chu Sect Gu Immortals attack Bai Zu tribe territories with a well executed tactic and lose no members on that outing, then worry for Chu Du when Heavenly Lord Bai Zu presses Hei Fan grotto-heaven. ^{ch. 1167}

Chu Du successfully resists Heavenly Lord Bai Zu, subdues many lone immortals with that power, gathers everyone, and creates Chu Sect on that day. Founding a sect is easier for him than Heavenly Lord Bai Zu’s creation of Bai Zu tribe. Hao Zhen and Chou Lao Wu, who accidentally kill Bai Zu Wei, receive mild punishment and become among the most loyal people in Chu Sect. ^{ch. 1181}

Chu Sect allies with Bai Zu tribe. Variant human slaves come from both forces. Chu Du ropes Fang Yuan in with a loose alliance agreement that is not restrictive. Inside Hei Fan grotto-heaven a large portion becomes Chu Sect territory and a small portion belongs to Bai Zu tribe, and the grotto-heaven itself becomes the symbol of their alliance. ^{ch. 1182}

After the Crazed Demon Agreement, Fang Yuan tells Not Immortal he is a Chu Sect member and that Huang Jin tribes are attacking Chu Sect. Chu Du says the allied Chu Sect and Bai Zu tribe face an enemy tens or hundreds of times stronger, yet still see a chance because the righteous path is not unified. ^{ch. 1189} Central Continent observers later name Chu Sect as the force Chu Du created with Hei Fan grotto-heaven and secretly nurtured strength path Gu Immortals, calling it probably the first sect in Northern Plains. ^{ch. 1191}

Under pressure from Longevity Heaven and the Huang Jin tribes, Chu Du is forced to change Chu Sect into Chu tribe. He takes his trained strength path Gu Immortals as adopted children, removes the sect system, and rules with the tribe system. The tribe is still doubted because he has no children of his own, until his fate war participation helps stabilize its status. After Fate Gu is destroyed and Longevity Heaven presses lone and demonic immortals, Bai Zu tribe and Chu tribe become more attractive to join, expand, and draw Longevity Heaven’s secret watch. The tribe is not tied by blood relationship, cannot openly keep a master disciple system, and mostly rests on Chu Du’s charisma. Hao Zhen and Chou Lao Wu, called the wind and lightning demons, stand second only to Chu Du in battle strength after siding with him. Resource points are few and poor. On Fairy Black Moon’s challenge day Chu Du takes almost all Chu tribe Gu Immortals to the battlefield while a few draw sticks to guard headquarters, and Huang Jin Gu Immortals join his group against that outsider. ^{ch. 2202}

With Longevity Heaven above them and Huang Jin tribes united, Bai Zu tribe and Chu tribe must stay allied and endure immense pressure together. Heavenly Lord Bai Zu hopes Chu Du wins against Fairy Black Moon yet knows she is no small character. ^{ch. 2203}

Chu Du agrees to Fairy Black Moon’s challenge and meets her for a contest of strength path. He invites her to Chu tribe as a guest to exchange strength path cultivation regardless of the outcome. Chou Lao Wu and Hao Zhen watch among Chu tribe’s supreme elders and god children as Dark Capital Strength Biao appears. ^{ch. 2213}

Chu tribe Gu Immortals watch in grim worry when Dark Capital Strength Biao suppresses Chu Du, then cheer as he endures her fused totem form, saves her from backlash, and reveals rank eight cultivation. Once that rank is shown, both he and Chu tribe soar in reputation. He had sealed his cultivation to fight as rank seven and risked his life to save her, which wins good feelings from neutral Gu Immortals. After returning to Chu tribe he rejects a celebratory banquet meant to elevate the tribe’s status. ^{ch. 2214}

Chu Du tells Heavenly Lord Bai Zu he fought Fairy Black Moon and risked injuries to save her, showing his aspiration to revitalize strength path. He plans, while the three venerables rest, to secretly contact Fang Yuan and create a backup plan for Chu tribe. ^{ch. 2218}

Luo clan discussion names Bai Zu tribe and Chu tribe as forces ostracized by Northern Plains’ Huang Jin bloodline under Giant Sun Immortal Venerable’s protection of his descendants. ^{ch. 2219}
