Fang Yuan lures Green City Rampage toward him as cannon fodder; alliance dao marks keep Immortal Wang from striking back, and Hao Zhen with Chou Lao Wu move to save him for compensation. ^{ch. 1171}

When Fang Yuan arrives with a myriad self army to reinforce him and Li Si Chun against a wolf pack, Immortal Wang snorts coldly. His impression of Fang Yuan is at rock bottom because Fang Yuan made him bait before, and he stays ungrateful even though Fang Yuan is here to help. ^{ch. 1177}

In a later Northern Plains clash he fights Ye Lui Qun Xing as a heaven swallowing hound. The text states he is only a rank seven Gu Immortal and that this transformation path immortal killer move lacks a matching rank eight Immortal Gu, so the hound’s battle strength stays at rank seven. Star fragments beat him down until Chu Du concedes the bout; Ye Lui Qun Xing does not press the kill, and Immortal Wang is named the fourth fighter from their side that Ye Lui Qun Xing has defeated. ^{ch. 1201} After Iron Eagle he hates Fang Yuan for that scapegoating, and when he sneers from behind at Fang Yuan’s refusal to fight and asks if he is afraid, Chu Du glares him silent and thinks of him among lone immortals or demonic cultivators who joined Chu Sect without much discipline. ^{ch. 1202}

Much later at Chu tribe headquarters he is again short with a red nose and small triangular eyes, named a transformation path Gu Immortal skilled at dog-breed transforms, and he argues that Chu Du might avoid the Black Moon challenge for the tribe’s sake. ^{ch. 2202}
