Xiong Li

He stands on a mountainside overlooking Gu Yue village, carrying a clan-head letter and orders to investigate the River Swallowing Toad matter while keeping temper and prestige in check on Gu Yue ground. He holds Grand Bear Gu and can erupt with a bear’s strength. Xiong, Gu Yue, and Bai share that mountain under wolf-tide pressure that forces temporary peace among the three villages. ^{ch. 121} Qing Mao Mountain is a small corner of the Southern Border. ^{ch. 31} The same group includes Xiong Lin as that year’s top Xiong village genius and Xiong Jiang. After beating Chi Shan at the village gate he names Brown Bear Innate Strength Gu and the strength of a bear as the reason Chi Shan still falls short. ^{ch. 121}

Appearance

He is not as tall as Chi Shan. ^{ch. 121} His two eyes are red. He has bowl-sized fists. ^{ch. 135}

Alliance contests

Chi Shan later tells Fang Yuan that Xiong Li has been seeking a strength contest, that Brown Bear Innate Strength Gu already grants one bear’s strength, that Grand Bear Gu can add another, and that the Qing Mao Mountain strongest title belongs to Xiong Li. ^{ch. 123} At the three-clan alliance gathering Xiong Li’s group beats Bai Bing Yi through Xiong Jiang, then Xiong Li himself challenges Fang Yuan to a strength contest; Fang Yuan admits defeat without fighting. ^{ch. 125} He next spars with Gu Yue Qing Shu, breaks only one vine under rising coil strength, and treats Qing Shu as his true rival while dismissing Fang Yuan as a newbie. ^{ch. 126}
