Green Vine Gu grows a long green vine from the Gu Master's palm for whipping, coiling, and binding. Gu Yue Qing Shu uses it as one of his open combat Gu on Qing Mao Mountain.

In his garden arena, Gu Yue Qing Shu names Green Vine Gu while drilling attack forms beside Pine Needle Gu and Moonwhirl Gu. From his right palm a green vine about fifteen meters long shoots out; he grips it as a whip for splitting, coiling, and sweeping, hard enough to tear concrete from the stage floor. ch. 104

Effect

Activation produces green vines from the palms. Qing Shu can whip with a single long vine, grow vines from both hands, and coil them around a target to bind. ch. 104 ch. 126

In a Gu battle contest he offers Xiong Li a strength test: if Xiong Li can break free of his green vine binding, Qing Shu will admit defeat. Two vines climb from Qing Shu’s palms like green pythons and bind Xiong Li’s arms behind his back. ch. 126

Wood Charm amplification

When Qing Shu becomes a tree-spirit embodiment through Wood Charm Gu, Green Vine Gu and Pine Needle Gu have their strength amplified. ch. 126

In the contest, after Wood Charm is in play, the vines darken from jade green to dark green, thicken, sprout wide leaves, regain broken lengths by regrowing, and raise their coiling strength by more than ten times, enough to hold a foe who has the strength of two bears. ch. 126

Fight against Bai Ning Bing

Qing Shu shoots green vines to coil around Gu Yue Yao Hong’s waist and pull her clear of Bai Ning Bing’s ice blade storm, but the storm still cuts her apart before the rescue finishes. ch. 140

Under Wood Charm he deflects icicles with vines from both palms, then later sends hundreds of green vines at Bai Ning Bing like giant pythons. Those vines are several times faster than before and can press a water shield toward collapse. Green Vine Gu, Pin Needle Gu, and vitality grass are wood attribute Gu that show growth and gain power in tree-spirit form, while Moonwhirl Gu does not change that way. ch. 141

Near death he forces Green Vine Gu again, sending thick vines through a wooden cage to trip and swarm Bai Ning Bing. He cannot keep producing more vines once the surrounding natural essence is almost fully absorbed; diluted essence still gathering in the air no longer meets Green Vine Gu’s needs. ch. 142
