On the alliance slope the three clan heads stand up in the rock building to look down at thousands of Gu Masters, with the Gu Yue clan head at the center and the Xiong clan head and the Bai clan head on either side. After Xiong Jiang makes Bai Bing Yi admit defeat, Gu Yue Bo praises Xiong Li’s group. Beside him, the Xiong clan head laughs lightly; Xiong Jiang has given him face. ch. 125
Preliminary competition
At dawn the Xiong clan leader stands on the slope beside Gu Yue Bo and the Bai clan leader. He says the real competition is tomorrow but a preliminary one is needed, and asks whether to start. The Bai clan leader snorts and ignores him. ch. 186
He then shouts the rules. The contest runs across the surrounding hundred li until sunset, battles carry no life-and-death restriction, and whoever collects thirty tokens qualifies for the three-clans competition. He adds that he hopes the competitors can control themselves. ch. 186
Three-clan competition
When the battle against Bai Ning Bing begins, the Xiong clan leader is secretly excited, thinking that killing Bai Ning Bing is the greatest victory. Bai Ning Bing’s iceblade swells and slashes at the surviving Gu Masters. The Xiong clan leader’s face is full of despair. The Bai clan leader then shouts that Bai Ning Bing is the Northern Dark Ice Soul physique, and the Xiong clan leader and Gu Yue Bo both cry out in shock at a ten extreme aptitude. ch. 189 He stares with his eyes wide open at Bai Ning Bing’s wound healing under frost and says it really is the Northern Dark Ice Soul physique. The narration calls ten extreme physiques legendary aptitudes and says he never expected to see one with his own eyes. When Gu Yue Bo tries to chase after Fang Yuan, the Xiong clan leader crosses his arms, snickers, and asks whether Gu Yue Bo means to break the agreement and enter the battlefield. ch. 190
Death
An elderly Gu Master with white brows, riding a huge crane, judges the three clan leaders to be rank four Gu Masters able to interfere in his coming battle, and flicks three balls of light at them. The Xiong clan leader is hit first, and his speed falls until he is slower than a snail. The other two clan leaders are hit the same way. The three clan leaders, who hated each other, fight the elderly man together with their lives on the line, and they die one by one as he flicks his sleeves. ch. 191 The narration names Sky Crane Lord as the killer of the three rank four clan leaders. ch. 193
