Xiong Lin

He first appears in Xiong Li’s five-person group overlooking Gu Yue village, clasping his hands behind his bald head and asking why the envoys have stopped so far out. The same scene calls him the youngest member, a newbie on debut, the same age as Fang Yuan, and that year’s top genius of Xiong village. ^{ch. 121} Xiong, Gu Yue, and Bai share Qing Mao Mountain in the Southern Border. ^{ch. 4 ch. 121}

Appearance

He is short, and he has shaved his head, which shines under the sunlight. He is the same age as Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 121} His body is short in stature, and his round bald head glows with light. ^{ch. 134} His bald head reflects the sunlight and shines like a diamond. ^{ch. 188}

Xiong clan genius

A later wolf-tide scene repeats the short stature and shining bald head, and states B grade talent plus rank two cultivation after early experience, naming him the number one talent among Xiong clan’s new Gu Masters of age. ^{ch. 134} In the fight against Bai Ning Bing the text again treats him as a genius newbie who already has rank two battle power beside seniors Xiong Li and Xiong Jiang. ^{ch. 135}

When Bai Ning Bing kills Xiong Li, Xiong Lin tries to charge in grief and anger until Xiong Jiang holds him back and tells him to flee because his talent is better than theirs. He refuses to move at first, then lives through the clash while Fang Yuan later notes that leaving him alive was unwanted but costly once Xiong Lin was already alert. ^{ch. 137} Fang Yuan also judges that Xiong Lin collected the fallen Xiong corpses, cutting off any chance at Xiong Li’s Brown Bear Innate Strength Gu. ^{ch. 142} When Gu Yue fighters press Fang Yuan after Bai Ning Bing seals himself in ice, Fang Yuan names Xiong Lin as the only remaining member of the Xiong Li group who can testify for him. ^{ch. 139}

During the wolf tide, Xiong Lin’s report exposes that Fang Yuan holds White Jade Gu. Fang Yuan gets past the moment by claiming he bought it from the caravan. ^{ch. 144}
