Chapter 962

At the bottom of Falling Heavenly River, immortal zombie Bo Qing confronts Song Zi Xing and Yu Mu Chun, both drenched in sweat under immense pressure. Bo Qing was a pseudo-Immortal Venerable in life. Heaven Overseeing Tower Lord sees this and reacts with anger. He learns that Bai Cang Shui is dead and that Bo Qing has revived as an immortal zombie. Though Yu Mu Chun is a Heavenly Lotus Sect immortal, Combat Immortal Sect remains a sect under Heavenly Court, so Heaven Overseeing Tower Lord summons Lian Jiu Sheng and Bi Chen Tian, and the three teleport there at once. ^{ch. 962}

In Southern Border, Xiao clan has held Light Mountain, more than two and a half kilometers tall, for the last thousand years. It was once a super force, but since its last Gu Immortal, the supreme elder, has not appeared for a hundred years, it has fallen to a large scale force. Current clan leader Xiao Shan broods on a mountain slope. Elder Xiao Zi Feng reports that Wu Hui is still causing trouble in the clan hall, demanding whoever killed his son be handed over. His son had been targeting Xiao Shan’s daughter Xiao Cui Er, and she killed him defending herself. Guided to a hidden cave, an Immortal Gu turns to light and fuses into his body. Inspecting himself afterward, he cannot find it anywhere, and the voice in his head vanishes completely, leaving him gripped by trepidation and suspicion as he exits. ^{ch. 962}

Xiao Mang appears as he exits, backed by a larger group of clan elders. He accuses him of violating clan rules by entering the forbidden area. Xiao Shan cannot explain himself, unwilling to reveal the Immortal Gu inheritance for fear others would seize it by force.
