The tower’s arrival freezes the battlefield, with the righteous path wondering whether these Central Continent Gu Immortals have come as reinforcements while Shadow Sect’s side falls into panic. Fang Yuan, sheltered inside the super Gu formation, judges it can survive one blow from the tower’s strongest attack and chooses to wait rather than act. Duke Long answers with Fate Vanquish, the tower’s strongest move, an intense white light that cannot be dodged at all and that anyone under rank nine simply loses to. Every Gu Immortal caught in the light, righteous or demonic, coughs blood and is heavily injured on the spot, most of them fainting, half the battlefield clears, and only those shielded by dream realms are spared. Zuo Ye Hui goes down but survives, its injuries lighter than Duke Long expected since Purple Mountain True Monarch lent it Immortal Gu and killer moves, and it rises with half of them healed to charge again. Duke Long fells it again with a repeated Fate Vanquish, and though Zuo Ye Hui rises once more, Fairy Zi Wei calls it a bit troublesome, since the tower cannot fire the move back to back while rank nine Immortal Gu Fate still carries injuries. ^{ch. 1359}
