Chapter 1328

Chi Shang reads Fang Yuan’s use of a formation path problem, rather than Wu Yi Hai’s own transformation path, as open contempt. He suspects a Wu clan formation path Gu Immortal actually wrote it, since Wu clan, as a super force, keeps some formation path capacity of its own. Examining it, he finds it slightly difficult, and consoles himself that Chi clan, though slightly inferior to Wu clan in overall strength, is undoubtedly Southern Border’s top clan in formation path. Fang Yuan then runs into a second, harder problem in the modification. Judging it beyond him, he decides to send it to Chi Shang as well. Opening the new information Gu, Chi Shang finds Fang Yuan’s letter passes over the earlier challenge entirely, crediting him with some ability that might be luck. It promises that solving this new problem will make Fang Yuan admit Chi Shang has the qualifications to pursue Fairy Si Liu. Chi Shang is enraged at having his standing with Qiao Si Liu made conditional this way, and almost crushes the Gu before catching himself. He reasons that ruining it would satisfy what he judges is Fang Yuan’s aim of getting him to quit, since he judges Fang Yuan is definitely afraid of him. He resolves instead to keep answering until Fang Yuan completely admits defeat, and to make the whole dispute public so Wu Yi Hai cannot act shamelessly again. ^{ch. 1328}
