Chapter 1246

After a long time, the tornado pillar vanishes, and the Gu Immortals see the storm moving away, cheering in relief and crediting Bi Chen Tian. Bi Chen Tian privately credits Zhao Lian Yun’s love Gu instead, since its aura guided him through dao marks that had made his own methods nearly useless. Worried for the other two Houses, he searches and reconnects with Wei Ling Yang half a day later. Wei Ling Yang reports that Canary Pavilion escaped the storm after Wind Sweeping Building. Communication is restored, and Wei Ling Yang moves Edge Link Camp to link with Canary Pavilion. The sky chief beasts die in batches but are endlessly replaced, since the group is too huge to mind such losses. Edge Link Camp then bursts out with sharp horn silhouettes, an attack so strong that even ancient sky chiefs dare not meet it head on. Wind Sweeping Building raises its wind pillar again as Canary Pavilion cries with a thousand birds’ voice, and the three Houses tear open a path, shaking off the pursuit within minutes. ^{ch. 1246}

All three Houses are heavily damaged, half of Canary Pavilion completely unstable, Myriad Tidal Dragon still unconscious, both rank eights have spent more than half their immortal essence, and half the journey still remains. Wei Ling Yang concludes they can only cross the remaining distance through spaceless tunnel, and Bi Chen Tian agrees it is the only way left. He asks worriedly whether the Gu’s own power alone can make Old Ancestor Xue Hu’s long refinement fail. South Desolation Immortal answers that Ma Hong Yun carries their Huang Jin bloodline as a descendant of Ancestor Giant Sun, so there is nothing wrong in his holding the Gu, and it will not be easy to snatch away. South Desolation Immortal adds that the Gu’s quasi-rank nine power cannot resist a rank eight Gu Immortal, and that Old Ancestor Xue Hu has the aid of Lady Wan Shou, one of Northern Plains’ four great refinement path experts.
