After rebirth, Fang Yuan already knows the harmful dao marks still in Lang Ya blessed land are a portion of star cast and were left there on purpose by Feng Jiu Ge. In his previous life those dao marks became a spiral tunnel that transported Gu Immortals in. ^{ch. 1750}

Star cast needs a tracer. That tracer is the harmful dao marks Feng Jiu Ge left. Destroying the dark spiral early cuts the delivery short, so only some of the intended group arrive, and those already inside must stall until the move can be used again. Star Constellation Chessboard must stay in Heavenly Court to maintain the move. Recreating it is not easy. It can transport rank eight Gu Immortals, so the price is huge in immortal essence and in preparation time with countless complex steps, and without deep wisdom path attainment it is unusable. Fairy Zi Wei judges that if Heavenly Court regained Wisdom Gu, activating star cast would become an easy feat. ^{ch. 1760}

The dark spiral is the tracer and has detection abilities. If dream realms or Reverse Flow River are nearby, Fairy Zi Wei can sense them. Contact with either makes star cast unstable and causes it to fail. She can make a slightly larger dark spiral to test for those things. During the Lang Ya fight the move is only half prepared. Fang Yuan answers Heavenly Court’s rumor campaign by exposing star cast and the deaths of Chen Yi and Thunder Ghost True Monarch. Countless Gu Immortals gasp in shock. ^{ch. 1792}

Gu Immortals of the four regions are extremely shocked. Star cast has huge significance in war: Central Continent and Heavenly Court can deploy Gu Immortals and attack suddenly without needing time to travel, which gives Heavenly Court the complete initiative. Gu Immortals of the four regions at rank eight are usually leaders of their own forces and cannot simply band together in advance, so Heavenly Court can use the move to pile several rank eight battle strengths onto one target. ^{ch. 1793}
