Ni Clan Village

Qi Zai and Qi He descend on Rotten Mud Mountain and find the village on the east-facing slope already turned into ruins, with rivers of blood and piled human and beast corpses. Rotten Mud Mountain soil has not let the blood dry; Qi Zai says Ni clan was slaughtered less than one or two days earlier. At the center lies a layer of black mud from a near-dead desolate beast mud monster. Qi Zai concludes a Gu Immortal, not a mortal enslavement path Gu Master, wiped the village while seeking the current generation Ni Xiang. ^{ch. 1036}

From grudge qi mudman answers, Qi Zai learns a mysterious Gu Immortal attacked to find the current generation Ni Xiang, threatened the whole village, and forced clan leader Ni Kun, who held yes or no Immortal Gu, to answer and sacrifice himself under a promise of sparing the village. After getting the answer, the Gu Immortal ordered the beasts to attack anyway. The mud monster Qi Zai had left as a will-controlled guard rushed in and was killed; then no clansman survived. Ni Jian, young clan leader and Ni Kun’s grandson, remains only as deep grudge. Qi clan Gu Immortals had purposely preserved Ni clan villages across Southern Border; Qi Zai was in charge of Rotten Mud Mountain and knew the Ni Xiang was the clan leader. ^{ch. 1037}

Fang Yuan had slaughtered Ni clan village, a place Qi Zai was charged with, so Qi Zai would be held to account if Fang Yuan escaped. ^{ch. 1042} Feng Tian Yu later says the slaughtered Ni clan village was only a separated branch, with other blood-related branches in several areas of Southern Border. ^{ch. 2126}
