Qi He is a Qi clan Gu Immortal of Southern Border who rides with Qi Zai on a desolate beast qi grand lion.
Qi Zai tells her she has just ascended, so gaps in Gu Immortal common knowledge are normal. She credits him with helping her survive the ascension tribulation. She asks why Qi clan’s Gu Immortal elders do not shelter descendants the way Southern Border super forces such as Wu clan and Shang clan do. He answers that Qi clan cultivates qi path primarily and that their ancestor Qi Xiang was one of the Heaven Surveying Five Xiangs. She addresses him as great-uncle throughout their journey together. ch. 1035
Appearance
She is an old woman who looks like she is in her sixties. Her eyes shine brightly. She is excited and cannot sit still, looking around as they travel. ch. 1035 Elsewhere her age is over fifty. ch. 1040
In the pursuit
While Qi Zai chases him through many rounds of battle, Fang Yuan judges her no threat, since she takes no part in the entire fight. Qi Zai tells her to sit and wait under the qi grand lion’s protection before he follows Fang Yuan into the Five Regional Mountain Range, and she tells him to be careful. ch. 1042
Death
After Fang Yuan kills Qi Zai, the rank six Gu Immortal Qi He is still outside. When he finds her, she is already dead: the qi grand lion, freed when Qi Zai dies, kills and eats her. She is a qi path Gu Immortal with qi path dao marks, which makes her prey for that beast, and as a newly advanced Gu Immortal she cannot match it. Fang Yuan later cuts open the lion and recovers her minced corpse. ch. 1043
