Yes or No Immortal Gu is an information path Immortal Gu refined into Ni clan bloodline. It answers only yes or no from heaven and earth, at fifty years of lifespan per answer.
Qi Zai explains that Ni Ren refined Immortal Gu into his descendants’ bloodline so others could not take them away, and that mortals could use those specially chosen Immortal Gu at a high price. Once someone in Ni clan creates such an Immortal Gu in the body, that person is called the current generation Ni Xiang. The first Immortal Gu created is the information path Immortal Gu Yes or No. It gets information from heaven and earth and expresses it through the Gu Master, but only as yes or no. Every answer costs the Gu Master fifty years of lifespan. ch. 1036
Forced answers
The current generation Ni Xiang has yes or no Immortal Gu in his body. A Gu Immortal forces the Ni clan leader to use it and answer a question, promising to spare the village for a satisfactory answer. ch. 1037
One answer, death
A Gu Immortal approaches the current generation Ni Xiang and asks about Fixed Immortal Travel and other Immortal Gu. The answer is No. The current generation Ni Xiang is already over fifty years old; using yes or no Immortal Gu once expends fifty years of lifespan, and after that one answer Ni clan’s old clan leader dies on the spot. ch. 1039
