Alert Bell Gu

During a brown bear fight outside Ni clan village, bells at the mountain base start ringing. Ni Kun’s grandson recognizes the sound as the clan’s alert bell Gu and asks what happened; Ni Kun grabs him and races back to the village wall. ^{ch. 1034}

Clan use

At the wall, elders greet Ni Kun as clan leader. He asks why alert bell Gu was used consecutively. An elder answers that the matter is urgent and shows him an investigative Gu formation directed to Ni Kun. Through it he sees a beast tide a hundred li from the village, large enough that the elders doubt they can protect the village. ^{ch. 1034}
