Chapter 708

In Northern Plains, at Lang Ya blessed land, a huge ice spike divine ape shakes the ground walking toward a cloud building and stops to growl. Fang Yuan and Lang Ya land spirit turn to look, and the land spirit laughs fondly at the little monkey. The land spirit’s qi path seal has dropped from fifteen layers to six with help from the Inkman King, freeing his left arm. The cloud building rises, mist completely covers the ape as it enters a cloud soil cave, and Gu worms seal it into hibernation. Fang Yuan names all eight as he lets them go, returning them without a single scratch. Lang Ya land spirit accuses him of wanting to borrow them again, warning not all eight at once. Fang Yuan instead reminds him their agreement now calls for two Immortal Gu back, Man as Before and Landscape as Before. Fang Yuan claims he saved costs by feeding the beasts, but the land spirit has fed rising azure cloud Immortal Gu at far greater expense. Fang Yuan cannot argue the comparison. Holding the land spirit’s own wish to study the two Gu over him settles it, and the land spirit calls him an old friend. ^{ch. 708}

Fang Yuan trades three Immortal Gu recipes, the sixth deal in five months. These were only sixty percent complete, taking him half a month of hard work to finish. The land spirit sighs, calling him an unparalleled genius at deducing recipes, wasted on an immortal zombie. Fang Yuan asks if he knows any way to remove the status. There are old methods, the land spirit says, but risky, low in odds, or needing extinct materials. The land spirit asks if he could shield himself with his own wisdom path methods. Privately, Fang Yuan laughs bitterly. He is not one, only borrowing his rank nine wisdom Gu’s might. Qin Bai Sheng captured Ma and Zhao and took the core of the luck path true inheritance, and when Northern Plains’ Gu Immortals meant to destroy him, he recruited allies within the month instead. He offers instead an incredible transformation path killer move from Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable, used in youth to hide from enemies.
