He would rather have released them one at a time, but the situation forces his hand. He needs immortal essence stones quickly, both to survive his current dangers and to delay his exposure. Fang Yuan judges the moment right, since the three recipes have already shaken land spirit’s composure. He proposes a stargate collaboration: he needs stones, land spirit needs recipes, and the two will keep trading. Land spirit hesitates rather than refusing outright. Fang Yuan presses further, arguing that Lang Ya blessed land has already suffered three waves of attack, each stronger than the last, proof its location has been discovered and some great force is watching. He offers to defend it through the stargate when needed. The offer moves land spirit, who recalls Fang Yuan’s earlier battle against the swamp crab. ch. 666
