Fang Yuan matches the three sages the indigenous human shaped mists describe to Genesis Lotus, Paradise Earth and Reckless Savage. With the seventh layer paths of Spectral Soul, Paradise Earth and Giant Sun, that makes at least five venerables who have come here. He had wondered why only those three left paths there. Limitless comes from the Olden Antiquity Era, with Reckless Savage and Red Lotus after him. Genesis Lotus, Thieving Heaven and Giant Sun follow in the Medieval Antiquity Era, where the long-lived Long Hair Ancestor works with the latter two. Spectral Soul and Paradise Earth belong to the Late Antiquity Era, and the Prophecy of Three Venerables foretells an unprecedented Great Dream Immortal Venerable. The seventh layer paths are traces of the three most recent venerables charging in, while any earlier paths have been erased by time. ch. 1867

Fang Yuan wonders why, if the venerables reached the ninth layer, they did not destroy its grand formation and take the rank nine derivation Gu. If they stopped in the eighth layer, why did they create Dao fields or worlds? He cannot find the path to the ninth layer, so he decides to visit those worlds, which could very likely hold inheritances. Even a leftover insignificant to a venerable would be a huge gain. The mists know the Dao fields only by hearsay, and say the disciples of the sages cross the void to trade or plunder. They called him sage because all sages look like him while disciples take all kinds of shapes, so Fang Yuan concludes the disciples are probably other races. ch. 1867

When the mists kowtow and beg him to save their world, he agrees, then attacks and captures them within two breaths. He does not trust answers from questioning alone. A soul search shows the mists have no souls. Fang Yuan realizes this small world has no soul path dao marks, so its beings lack souls, unlike those of the five regions and two heavens. Searching their memories is somewhat difficult, but it shows they did not deceive him and are part of this world, unable to leave it. ch. 1867

The mists resemble land spirits and heavenly spirits, and Fang Yuan wonders whether understanding the mists would let him mass-produce such spirits. About half a day later the world is destroyed, and he regrets having too few worlds to comprehend how the mists are born, having made only a little gain. He resumes the search for worlds and venerable Dao fields. ch. 1867

In the seventh layer, Pang Shan coughs out blood after finding no trace of Fang Yuan. The Three Crazed Demon Eccentrics have reunited now that the demonic sounds have ended, and all three are injured. Pang Shan tells his brothers to let it be, and Not Immortal sighs that no one foresaw such a death for Fang Yuan. Secret Schemer feels extreme regret. All three want to explore the ninth layer and search for eternal life, so they feel no relief at being rid of him. ch. 1867

Fang Yuan’s main body has not come out of the eighth layer, and his clones grow nervous. At Fang clan headquarters, Divine Bean Palace shines with jade light as Fang Gong, Fang Hua Sheng, Fang Leng and Fang Yun watch. Its killer move Myriad Life Spring Lightning fires, turning the light into exploding lightning spheres and then growing trees over the ruined ground. The smooth activation shows that Fang Yuan’s clone Fang Di Chang controls the palace. He walks out smiling. Fang Gong calls him second elder and praises a huge contribution, somewhat worrying for the clan’s internal factions but very good news for the whole clan. Fang Di Chang says there is no hurry but divine bean soldiers must be prepared first, and Fang Gong grants any wood path immortal materials from the treasury. ch. 1867
