Chapter 1816

In Mini White Heaven of the sovereign immortal aperture, the dragonman clone stands before a snow-white fawn with extremely dazzling golden eyes. This is Qi Sea heavenly spirit, born when Qi Xiang’s obsession fused with the grotto-heaven’s heavenly power, and it calls the clone Master. A deep wound on its back, taken when it used unlimited qi sea against a myriad tribulation, exposes the bones. Wisdom path methods suit it best, and Fang Yuan has tried them without success. His refinement path methods are stronger, but he dares not use them rashly, since the treatment might, very likely, kill it. For now he cannot heal it, yet the spirit is happy that annexation did not kill it. ^{ch. 1816}

Fang Yuan ponders the mystery of land spirits and heavenly spirits. Ordinary annexations kill land spirits when they complete, but in the sovereign immortal aperture they survive. Shadow Sect has no record of why, and maybe Spectral Soul Demon Venerable hid the details or never knew. Fang Yuan preserves the many spirits that manage their own territories there, to understand their logic in the future. This is also why he wants to save Qi Sea heavenly spirit. ^{ch. 1816}

Fang Yuan places Qi Sea grotto-heaven in Mini White Heaven, where countless white clouds begin forming, and the other eight mini heavens grow clouds of their own colors. These clouds are still thin fog, not yet cloud soil. This is only the start. By his deduction, different qi will appear everywhere, mostly mortal Gu materials, until enough accumulates to produce qi path immortal materials and eventually tiny resource points. All this comes from Qi Sea grotto-heaven’s million qi path dao marks, which spread across the mini five regions and nine heavens. ^{ch. 1816}

Each of his annexations brings dao marks that change his aperture’s environment slightly. In the previous life, Beast Calamity grotto-heaven’s transformation path dao marks gave the aperture a larger variety of living beings. Xia Cha grotto-heaven’s time path dao marks widened the tributary of the River of Time, giving Fang Yuan wider control over the rate of time. Very evidently, randomly annexing apertures is bad, since the added dao marks change an aperture’s environment dramatically. Without wisdom path methods to absorb that, a Gu Immortal’s development there would be ruined. Fang Yuan gains from it because the sovereign immortal aperture is so big and vast that the influences become negligible. His wisdom path attainment handles the changes. ^{ch. 1816}

Xia Cha passed no myriad tribulations and had only seventy thousand time path dao marks, while Beast Calamity grotto-heaven had over a hundred thousand after one myriad tribulation. Qi Xiang was very strong, and the Five Xiangs, united, dominated the two heavens. After his death Qi Sea grotto-heaven devoured no nine heavens fragment and kept facing tribulations, passing more than ten myriad tribulations over thousands of years. Each gave around a hundred thousand dao marks, and with Qi Xiang’s own accumulation the total is over a million. It survived mainly through unlimited qi sea, which consumes immortal essence and types of qi that Qi clan Gu Immortals collected for thousands of years. Lang Ya blessed land spent a vast number of refinement path and water path dao marks creating its man-made secluded domain. Without annexation, a few more myriad tribulations would have destroyed Qi Sea grotto-heaven. ^{ch. 1816}

Fang Yuan keeps cultivating, assimilating Qi Sea grotto-heaven entirely and practising qi path killer moves. He gives up Ba Shi Ba’s consecutive hit method after trying it. Unlimited qi sea, dismantled in the previous life for lack of foundation, time and resources, is now usable by him as a qi path great grandmaster. The aperture’s time flow is much faster than in the previous life, giving him more time to practise. He expects qi path battle strength to surpass time path and become his main offensive method. Then he can try to subdue Dragon Palace, fighting multiple rank eight Gu Immortals for it and forcefully taking the Immortal Gu House. His gaze is eerie, his plans long since made. ^{ch. 1816}
