Chapter 1780

Fang clan’s assault shakes Western Desert’s righteous path, and steal dao intimidates every force in it at once. Fang clan gives Fang Yuan a very specific video of the battle, and he realizes the clan has a Thieving Heaven true inheritance. He recalls that the great thief Immortal Gu he obtained came from Fang clan and it seems the clan also found clues to the inheritance back then. He sees that this deterrence will change Fang clan’s situation and, it seems, was why the righteous path relented in his previous life. Steal dao cripples a resource point at once and beyond recovery. Dong Lu Chen is unscathed, but treasure moon oasis is wiped from existence. ^{ch. 1780}

Fang Yuan praises Fang Di Chang’s choice of a strong enemy without going overboard. Treasure moon oasis is only a mid sized resource point, though Dong Lu Chen’s beloved wife is buried there. Only dao marks are lost and her grave is untouched, so Dong clan’s losses are not severe and he is not particularly angry. An information path mortal Gu from Fang Di Chang says only about ten droplets were lost and asks Fang Yuan to find the other twenty. Fang Yuan had taken thirty droplets and reported them as lost to Ying Wu Xie’s attack, an excuse both sides see through. The message subtly warns him not to go overboard, since Fang clan will not give up a rank eight immortal material and means to suppress the newcomer. ^{ch. 1780}

Fang Yuan reads weakness in the battle. Fang clan used no other Immortal Gu House, which shows those houses were heavily damaged at Divine Bean Palace. The steal dao it used has rank eight power but puts a huge burden on the damaged theft path house, so it cannot be used extensively and is unstable. Fang Yuan judges that Fang clan very likely lacks the complete Thieving Heaven true inheritance or has not grasped it fully. ^{ch. 1780}

Fang Yuan replies that he found the twenty droplets, having been too careless earlier. Inside the oasis formation he now controls, he has set up another that fakes his presence and conceals his actions. With jade flow pearl modified to activate faster and leak less aura, he casts it to reach burning firefly desert, a mid sized Fang clan resource point defended by a rank six Gu Immortal. Disguised with familiar face, he kills the Gu Immortal, destroys the formation and slaughters all the Gu worms with earth path methods. He then returns to the oasis. ^{ch. 1780}

Fang Di Chang then learns that burning firefly desert is destroyed and a Fang clan Gu Immortal is dead. The death matters far more than the desert, since Fang clan has always lacked Gu Immortals. Fang Gong guards the headquarters while Fang Di Chang examines the scene. He reads ruthless hatred in the traces and judges it revenge, not greed. He suspects Dong clan, which specializes in earth path, but decides that would be too obvious and that other righteous path forces must be exploiting the situation. Fang Yuan left only the clues he chose, and Fang clan has no information path Gu Immortal, so Fang Di Chang finds nothing of value and returns with a very dark expression. ^{ch. 1780}

A rank eight expert soon asks Dong Lu Chen about the news, and Dong Lu Chen seethes inwardly that the culprit used earth path methods to frame Dong clan. He cannot declare innocence when nobody publicly accuses him, as that would show fear of Fang clan. He can only snort that it feels great and he will reward the culprits, meaning in his thoughts that he is very angry and will tear them to shreds. The rank eight expert replies with a meaningful hehe. Dong Lu Chen feels worse, since Dong clan borders Fang clan and a retaliation for Fang clan’s dead Gu Immortal would put his clan in the greatest danger. ^{ch. 1780}
