Heavenly dew

When Fang Yuan joins Fang clan as Suan Bu Jin, Fang Gong reports that demonic path Gu Immortals are attacking the clan’s precious heavenly dew oasis. Fang Di Chang notes the timing may involve other forces rather than only demonic path, coming just as news of the new elder spreads in treasure yellow heaven. Fang Yuan offers to handle the attack and is sent. ^{ch. 1777}

Heavenly dew oasis holds a large lake almost like a small sea. Hundreds of acupuncture trees ring the lake as the first line of defense: ordinary trees ten to twenty feet tall, several hundred desolate plant trees fifty to sixty feet tall, and about ten ancient desolate plant trees large like mountains. Those trees alone make the oasis a giant Western Desert resource point, and Fang clan treats it as one of the top ten oases. When strong enemies attack, the trees stand and fight with strength and sharp needles; the lake itself is valued even more highly. ^{ch. 1778}

A Western Desert soul path Gu Immortal has already destroyed half the oasis formation and is rampaging inside when Fang Yuan arrives. Fang Yuan fights him off as Suan Bu Jin, then returns midway rather than chasing into a possible ambush. Fang clan next assigns him to defend heavenly dew oasis alone, moving the original rank seven defender elsewhere so the new elder draws Western Desert attention. ^{ch. 1778}

Heavenly dew oasis holds many water resources of various types. Commonly seen waters include delicate springs, jade toad drool, and bitter fragrance water; rarer ones include divine strength water and black-white water. ^{ch. 1779}

Black-white water is a rank seven immortal material at the center of heavenly dew oasis. Exposed to the sky through day and night cycles, it creates drops of heavenly dew. Each drop is transparent, round, and about the size of a baby’s finger. Droplets cannot fuse; they can only be placed together as separate entities. ^{ch. 1779}

Heavenly dew is the most valuable thing in heavenly dew oasis and is a rank eight immortal material. A black-white water region can hold about a hundred accumulated droplets after half a year. Thirty drops equal roughly three months of the oasis’s accumulation. Fang clan’s formation at the oasis uses many Immortal Gu mainly to increase heavenly dew production rather than to focus on defense. ^{ch. 1779}
