Chapter 1637

Qi Fa, wavering slightly, tells everyone not to panic, though Qi clan’s three rank seven and two rank six Gu Immortals are completely defenseless against Fang Yuan. He argues that the gatehouse has acknowledged and protects them, and that Fang Yuan would break the bet’s rules and never reach the other side if he destroyed it. Fang Yuan, with slight surprise, smiles and calls Qi Fa quite smart. Such ability let Qi clan suppress or enslave the other four clans, keep even Southern Border’s righteous path ignorant of the Five Xiang’s treasure, and become the bet’s eventual winner. ^{ch. 1637}

Bai Ning Bing, who has already negotiated with Fang Yuan, nods and flies into the blue light, which stabilizes after shaking. A formless, mild force sends her up into the clouds. Qi clan’s Gu Immortals look regretful, saying that she seems not to be under Fang Yuan’s enslavement, or the gatehouse would not have acknowledged her. Because of this gatehouse, neither Old Man Yan Shi, who only cooperated with her, nor Fang Yuan has ever enslaved her. Fang Yuan flies at the blue light in his original appearance, with immortal killer move familiar face active and modified to disguise his bloodline. The blue light stabilizes, but the lights of the other four Xiangs appear and a strong force pushes him out. His heart shakes slightly, since familiar face cannot deceive the gatehouse. Qi clan’s Gu Immortals sigh in huge relief, because Fang Yuan is kept outside and only Bai Ning Bing remains to be dealt with. One says her Bai Xiang killer move is troublesome, but their Qi Xiang true inheritance is not weak either. ^{ch. 1637}

Fang Yuan admits that he underestimated the gatehouse, since Shadow Sect’s and Bai Ning Bing’s information was insufficient. He names the Heaven Surveying Five Xiangs, whose fused power made the gatehouse, as Qi Xiang, Bai Xiang, Xue Xiang, Ni Xiang and Chi Xiang, on qi, ice, blood, earth and food path respectively. His blood path and earth path attainment is high, and Spectral Soul’s true inheritance gives him an immensely deep amount of information on food path. His qi path and ice path attainment is very low and he lacks sufficient qi path inheritances, but Bai Ning Bing’s Bai Xiang true inheritance already deceived the blue light, so Qi Xiang’s power is his only obstacle. Fang Yuan attacks the gatehouse fiercely and it shakes intensely, so they pray that it holds, for its fall would leave them to be killed or captured. He stops, and Qi Jin cheers that the demon did not succeed. Fang Yuan mockingly asks why they think he stopped, then activates an immortal killer move that transforms his aura. ^{ch. 1637}

He lands in the blue light, easily gains its acknowledgement and stands beside Bai Ning Bing. Qi clan’s Gu Immortals are dumbfounded, some of their beliefs completely shattered, and Qi Cai screams that the outsider Fang Yuan cheated. The gatehouse stays silent while the Five Xiang’s seal gathers power and five lights shine brightly. The Gu Immortals despair.
