Chi Xiang

Qi Zai says that among the Five Xiangs’ descendants over the last few thousand years, Chi Xiang’s descendants stay inside their immortal aperture and live like livestock, with no urge to improve themselves, lazy and only wanting to eat, and are nothing significant. By then the five ancestors have already died long ago, while their thousand year bet among descendants continues. ^{ch. 1035}

When the Five Xiangs gatehouse shines in five colors, yellow light is Chi Xiang’s Chi clan. Narration repeats that those descendants lived in immortal apertures of their ancestors without working hard, like livestock, and that not a single Gu Immortal emerged from among them. ^{ch. 1636} Fang Yuan later restates the Five Xiangs as Qi Xiang, Bai Xiang, Xue Xiang, Ni Xiang, and Chi Xiang, in qi path, ice path, blood path, earth path, and food path respectively, and says the gatehouse into their public grotto-heaven was created by all five with fused power. ^{ch. 1637}
