Chapter 1623

The Southern Border immortals enter the five regional mountain range and feel strong forces of repulsion and attraction. Their thoughts of killing Fang Yuan only harden, for he is a rank seven who ambushed the righteous path, took immortals captive for ransom, and can defend against deductions. A demonic path lone cultivator kills or robs for resources, so he cannot be reconciled with a righteous path bound by rules. They decide the calamity must be eradicated early. ^{ch. 1623}

Hou clan rank seven Gu Immortal Hou Zi Shua laughs and says the formation has no space path ability and only confuses the senses. He releases an eight ears monkey from his aperture, an information path beast the others recognize as an immemorial desolate beast. Their gaze at him changes, since he had hidden it deeply. Guided by the monkey, the immortals break through repeatedly even as the formation changes. Fang Yuan frowns, since changing the formation again cannot hold them. ^{ch. 1623}

Jun Shen Guang, who quietly concealed himself and entered along with the immortals, feels killing intent rise at the monkey. He thinks beasts like it would ruin most concealment methods when Central Continent invades Southern Border, so killing it would greatly help Heavenly Court’s plan. The monkey senses his killing intent and screeches in panic, so he looks away, sparing it for now because Fang Yuan comes first. He plans to enter Fang Yuan’s aperture, where Fang Yuan will be passive for fear of destroying his own resources, and strike a fatal blow once the fight has worn Fang Yuan down. Knowing he may be discovered but judging the chance low, he decides it is time to stake his life. He activates his killer move, endures the backlash, and enters the aperture with the heaven and earth qi. None of the immortals, who all maintain investigative killer moves, detect him. ^{ch. 1623}
