Hou Clan

Two Hou clan Gu Immortals stand above Golden Cloud Canyon, a mist-filled canyon that produces metal path and cloud path resources. One states that Wu clan took the canyon from Hou clan long ago by force, and that they mean to take the asset back. As a righteous path force bound by righteous path rules, they cannot attack openly, so one immortal changes appearance into a known demonic path expert while the other pretends to pursue him, and they charge into the canyon on that excuse. The Wu clan Gu Immortal who had defended the site has already been recalled to Wu clan headquarters, leaving a mortal Gu formation; Hou clan uses blade qi Immortal Gu to break that formation and seize the canyon. Holding the ground first lets them later claim they helped defend it and demand compensation, unless Wu clan has the battle strength to force them out. ^{ch. 1345}

In the same stretch, Yao clan, Yang clan, and Hou clan are three of the super forces that move against Wu clan after news that Wu Yong is dead. ^{ch. 1345 ch. 1346}
