Chapter 799

Four giant hands force the two demonic path Gu Immortals back. The extorted one hands over the spiders he gathered, and Fang Yuan leaves at once. He curses Fang Yuan, wishing him dead, until the other warns him to stop shouting lest Fang Yuan return. The two separate and race to plunder the spiders left in the pool. ^{ch. 799}

Fang Yuan heads for the location named in the traded information. He had never meant to gather the spiders himself, lacking a method. The extortion won him information he judges rather reliable. ^{ch. 799}

Miniscule Mountain, recorded in the Legends of Ren Zu, is the miniman race’s foundation. It is a true mountain needing heavy earth qi to hold its shape, a burden no Gu Immortal takes on casually. It belongs to no one Gu Immortal of Dong Fang tribe, and mostly rests in Jade Pool blessed land, which spares it that burden. ^{ch. 799}

Beside an ordinary looking pool, Fairy Li Shan and Hei Lou Lan lie concealed. They detect Fang Yuan and wonder why he is here. The two had secretly searched for Thatched Hut, gone from its original spot though they harvested underworld eels there, then found traces of Miniscule Mountain before being obstructed, still debating what to do when Fang Yuan entered their range. Fairy Li Shan hopes their concealment will hide them, guessing he may only be passing by. Hei Lou Lan, who has suffered greatly at his hands before, warns they must not underestimate him. ^{ch. 799}

Fairy Li Shan explains that this restricted region, captivating sea, is a forest of illusory peach trees, with groundmat grass and poisonous purple heart flowers underneath. Fang Yuan notes the seller left out the grass and flowers, whose numbers signal hidden Gu, though both pose minor risk to him given his poison-resistant zombie body and his poison path Immortal Gu, Woman’s Heart. ^{ch. 799}

Fairy Li Shan adds that a group of nearly thirty peach wolves, each comparable to a rank six Gu Immortal, guards the forest.
