Three Fish Groups, Great Harvest
A desolate beast dragonfish crashes into the water as Fang Yuan calls on Pulling Water. A formless power hauls up the water and its dragonfish into his aperture. It is the largest pool he has found so far, holding nine hundred thousand dragonfish Dong Fang tribe raised, one of them a desolate beast carrying no Immortal Gu. The meat sells for huge profits in treasure yellow heaven. ch. 800
Fang Yuan judges the pool a century of Dong Fang tribe’s wealth, now his. He keeps draining it, glad he has the Gu since nothing else could gather a haul this large. Distant fighting tells him Hei Lou Lan’s group has begun its attack on captivating sea, but he does not regret giving up Miniscule Mountain. The odds there were slim, since attacking a restricted area draws unavoidable notice, though a huge profit tempts anyone to a trace of hope. ch. 800
A dragon roar breaks his thoughts as the huge dragonfish leaps out and charges. Fang Yuan slams down four giant hands. His draining method drains the pool dry fast, cornering the dragonfish. Against his rank seven battle strength its struggle collapses into a heavy injury, and the hands carry it into his aperture. The pool runs nearly dry with every dragonfish inside collected, costing him four green grape immortal essence beads, but his eyes shine with joy. ch. 800
Since entering Jade Pool blessed land he has taken oil water, the shark fin wolf, eerie fire dragon pythons, common resources, and regretful spiders. This dragonfish group tops them all. It edges out the shark fin wolf by a small margin. The batch is enormous, close to a million fish, an endless source of revenue if raised. ch. 800
Fighting still rages on Hei Lou Lan’s side, but Fang Yuan flies on. He stops at a dense forest planted around one house-sized pool of literature carps. They are rare even in Eastern Sea and hard to catch, since their bodies turn to text qi once they swim. Dong Fang tribe keeps more than ten of them here. The carps startle at his arrival, but his Pulling Water Immortal Gu commands the water itself, so as long as they stay in the pool, they are already his. ch. 800
A demonic path Gu Immortal, Zhou Ping, rises and claims the resource point, only rank six but unafraid. Fang Yuan threatens that Zhou Ping’s cultivation gives him no standing to talk rules. Zhou Ping stays calm: his flight skill and two immortal killer moves keep him beyond even Unfettered Scholar, Hei Cheng and Fairy Le Yao. He offers a trade for the carps, threatening to destroy the pool otherwise. Fang Yuan, weaker in movement himself, studies him: a skilled mover can bargain with stronger foes on nearly equal terms. ch. 800
Fang Yuan tells Zhou Ping he will remember him: he wishes Zhou Ping well guarding it forever, and staying out of his hands. Zhou Ping’s smile vanishes, and he tries to salvage the trade, but Fang Yuan is gone. Zhou Ping is left distraught at having pointlessly angered a strong, mysterious Gu Immortal: Fang Yuan’s parting words struck his weakness: he cannot guard the carps forever. He stamps his foot, unable to collect them himself. ch. 800
Fang Yuan flies on and lands beside another pool holding a large group of air bubble fish, a kind he has raised. Air bubble fish store undigested worms and grubs with a raised chance of becoming a Gu, prized during the five regions chaotic war. This group is worth about half the shark fin wolf’s price. Seeing no rival Gu Immortal, Fang Yuan uses Pulling Water to take it whole, the third most valuable prize of his haul. ch. 800
Dong Fang Chang Fan’s furious scream, accusing the thieves of brazenly robbing his tribe’s headquarters, carries across the whole of Jade Pool blessed land. Unfettered Scholar roars back that old thief Dong Fang will lose his life. ch. 800
