Literature carps are rare peculiar fish raised in a forest pool inside Dong Fang tribe's Jade Pool blessed land. Fang Yuan finds over ten of them there.
Inside Jade Pool blessed land, Fang Yuan finds a dense forest planted for a house-sized central pool that raises literature carps. Literature carps and true martial carps are known as the literature and martial twin carps. Dong Fang tribe has over ten literature carps there. They are hard to catch and low in numbers, uncommon even in Eastern Sea. ch. 800
Literature carps usually remain still in water and move with the flow. Once they move their tails and swim slowly, their entire bodies turn into text qi. Without specific methods, even Gu Immortals can only watch in vain. When Fang Yuan approaches, they are alarmed, turn into text qi, and pervade the water. He judges that with pulling water Immortal Gu controlling the flow, they are as good as caught if they do not leave the pool. ch. 800
Demonic path Gu Immortal Zhou Ping, rank six, rises and claims the resource point. He cannot defeat Fang Yuan but threatens to destroy the pool unless Fang Yuan trades, relying on flying killer moves. Fang Yuan leaves a threat and goes. Zhou Ping is downcast because he has no method to collect the group and cannot stay forever to guard them. ch. 800

While other Gu Immortals fight over Jade Pool blessed land, Zhou Ping shouts that his literature carps were taken away. ch. 801 He screams for his fish group and later calls them a group he had only stored temporarily after much effort. Fang Yuan uses Fairy Li Shan’s reputation to deter other demons while keeping the literature carps for himself. ch. 802
Hidden pool
Later, while arranging resources in his immortal aperture, Fang Yuan notes that for literature carps he specially dug a small pool to store them away from plain sight. ch. 809

Fang Yuan creates several artificial lakes in Mini Eastern Sea and stocks them with dragonfish groups, air bubble fish groups and literature carp groups. ch. 1159
