Chapter 802

Unfettered Scholar chides Fang Yuan for his selfishness. Zhou Ping screams for his literature carps and fish group back. Pi Shui Han accuses Fang Yuan of profiting while everyone fights, and Fairy Li Shan says killing Dong Fang Chang Fan is the urgent matter. Fang Yuan, ruthless and arrogant, tells them all to shut up or be thrashed. Fang Yuan reasons privately that acting ruthless now protects his interests, since it stops the demons from taking an inch and demanding a mile. ^{ch. 802}

Pi Shui Han, Unfettered Scholar and the others grit their teeth but cannot attack. Fang Yuan is rank seven, with two companions behind him. The rank seven black robed Gu Immortal is likely Snowy Mountain’s Fairy Li Shan, once pledged not to harm Dong Fang tribe, hence her hidden face and restraint. She answers to the rank eight Gu Immortal, Old Ancestor Xue Hu, so neither dares strike her, and Fang Yuan uses her reputation to keep the literature carps. ^{ch. 802}

Dong Fang Chang Fan loses control again. Dong Fang Yi Kong’s will seizes his voice and face, accusing Fang Yuan of stealing his stored literature carps, and charges at him vowing his death. Everyone freezes, believing his possession complete. ^{ch. 802}

Fang Yuan reacts fast, six giant hands flying out as he retreats. He is wary of a trap. It is no trap: Chang Fan regains control quickly, having only suppressed the eight Gu Immortals’ wills, never cleared them, and losing the carps let Dong Fang Yi Kong’s will break free. Old Lord Can Yang has been his helpless tool all along. The eight wills are not the true danger: fragments of Dong Fang Yu Liang’s own destroyed soul have grown into a will as strong as theirs, one that would outweigh Dong Fang tribe’s other wills many times over if it broke free. ^{ch. 802}

Chang Fan raises Miniscule Mountain. He uses Big to Small to shatter the six giant hands. Fang Yuan shouts for the others to strike while Chang Fan stands alone, and Pi Shui Han and Unfettered Scholar attack while Divine Lord Tian Du, Shi Hou, Lu Qing Ming and He Ruo seal his escape routes. ^{ch. 802}

Old Lord Can Yang, furious that Chang Fan charged out alone and left him blocked outside, fights to rejoin him, but Fairy Li Shan steps in to block him instead. Miniscule Mountain shakes as the frightened miniman Gu Immortal asks what is happening. Chang Fan answers calmly. Fairy Li Shan once made an agreement with Chang Fan and uses a technique to suppress its backlash, though she aims almost every attack at Can Yang regardless. ^{ch. 802}

Fang Yuan stays at the edge, looting the pools, enraging every demon present. He answers that this is a tactic to trigger the suppressed wills and force old scoundrel Dong Fang’s mistake, and tells them to coordinate rather than judge a gentleman’s heart with a small man’s. Unfettered Scholar and Pi Shui Han cannot refute it. The miniman Gu Immortal calls the small man idiom discrimination against his race and vows to make Fang Yuan pay. ^{ch. 802}

Zhou Ping decides the tactic makes sense. He leaves his post for a deep pool of his own. Unfettered Scholar strikes him with Thousand Disintegrations, badly hurting him, since letting everyone chase profit leaves no one to kill Chang Fan. Threatened with death by Unfettered Scholar and Pi Shui Han, Zhou Ping returns to his position. Fairy Li Shan will not let this stand either. She coldly calls Fang Yuan back to fight alongside them. He is schemed against by his own ally after scheming against the others. He, Hei Lou Lan and Fairy Li Shan signed the Snowy Mountain Alliance, in which nobody commands another, but before the crowd he keeps up their staged backing.
