Chapter 803

Fang Yuan joins Fairy Li Shan to hold off Old Lord Can Yang. Though unafraid of the life chasing fire himself, his strength path phantom army is mostly destroyed by it, and rebuilding it would cost huge immortal essence. He retreats mid fight, telling Fairy Li Shan the expenditure is too great and asking her to hold Can Yang alone while he carries out a plan. She is inwardly furious: she has already gone all out on immortal essence, and Fang Yuan has profited most of anyone. ^{ch. 803}

The demons, watching him retreat, grow stirred. Unfettered Scholar asks Fairy Li Shan why, and she coldly relays the excuse, which leaves the demons demanding how much they have spent already. Unfettered Scholar, who has worked hardest while looting nothing, trembles with anger. Chang Fan, pressured, raises Miniscule Mountain to defend his worsening position. ^{ch. 803}

Fang Yuan flies to a deep pool below the fighting. He finds an assembly point of hiding Dong Fang tribesmen and vows Chang Fan will watch them die. His giant hand destroys their barrier and slams the ground, killing many Gu Masters and scattering the rest. Chang Fan loses control again to Dong Fang Yu Liang’s will, which cries out for its kin and flies down to save them. In fear, the miniman Gu Immortal uses Miniscule Mountain to shield Yu Liang under their pact. ^{ch. 803}

Fang Yuan slows deliberately, killing fleeing tribesmen to hold Yu Liang’s attention. But Chang Fan regains control while Yu Liang is airborne, with a strong chance now of breaking out to Old Lord Can Yang. But Dong Fang Gu Masters are limited, and Chang Fan refuses to fall. Qie Shi Min, revealed to hold many captured tribesmen for sale, is pressed by Pi Shui Han to sacrifice them for later compensation, and kills them before Chang Fan. The remaining wills surface, chiefly Dong Fang Yu Liang’s, a mortal whose bond to the tribe causes Chang Fan, Miniscule Mountain and Old Lord Can Yang huge trouble whenever it seizes control. Old Lord Can Yang finally breaks past Fairy Li Shan and rejoins Chang Fan, but the demons have already gained a huge advantage from Chang Fan’s repeated losses of control. ^{ch. 803}

Miniscule Mountain is cracked throughout, and Old Lord Can Yang, heavily injured protecting Chang Fan, presses him for the possession method’s final portion, which Chang Fan withholds because Can Yang would then flee. Dong Fang tribe and Immortal Crane Sect are only cooperating, and the possession method is Dong Fang’s biggest bargaining chip. Old Lord Can Yang calls for retreat, and the miniman Gu Immortal, fearing Chang Fan will keep fighting, adds that living means more chances ahead. Chang Fan agrees bitterly, giving the blessed land one last look before he retreats. ^{ch. 803}

But Fang Yuan finds another assembly point and vows to slaughter it. Enraged, Chang Fan attacks with Myriad Star Fireflies, but Fang Yuan evades, and the attack curves into the assembly point instead, killing every hidden tribesman. Weeping, Chang Fan says he destroyed his kin rather than leave them a lever against him, and vows to return today’s hatred a thousandfold. ^{ch. 803}
