Formless Hand
Fang Yuan flees through true inheritance secluded domain while Hei Lou Lan’s group chases and taunts him, and he answers none of it. Wind flower Gu carries him past a dark red true inheritance meteor, which shoots on toward the pursuers and sends them dodging. Their long range attacks follow, but flash bug Gu moves him five hundred steps ahead and they land on nothing. Flash bug Gu is not fast, costs a lot of purple crystal primeval essence and serves mainly for sudden evasion, so he switches to three eagle rise Gu at once. Their speed is very impressive and they use less primeval essence. ch. 629
The pursuers wonder how he keeps so much primeval essence after shattering his aperture. One answers that Gu such as fish bubble Gu, beggar moth or grave yam Gu store it even then. Backlash from heaven and earth qi is really terrifying for their movement Gu, yet Hei Lou Lan orders the chase to go on, since denying Fang Yuan time to advance to Gu Immortal fulfils their objective. Fang Yuan admits this strikes his weak point. His shattered second aperture holds a lump of three colored qi, waiting for the vital Gu. Without an immortal aperture the backlash kills him, and with one he is defenseless for a time and very likely to die if struck. He dares not place the Gu, and the lump starts to vibrate. ch. 629
Then the domain shakes, and Hei Lou Lan, Ye Lui Sang and the rest grow worried. Fang Yuan and Tai Bai Yun Sheng are overjoyed, since the tremor shows that Giant Sun’s will has reached its limit against the heavenly tribulations and earthly calamities. Outside, Giant Sun’s will barely endures, with under one percent of itself left and only a thin layer of golden armor over Eighty-Eight True Yang Building. Of thirty-six chaotic branching teeth it destroyed eleven in advance and blocked most of the rest, but seven scars remain, four of them piercing through True Yang Building. An extremely huge number of Gu worms and two immortal Gu are destroyed. ch. 629
The tribulation thins, and Giant Sun’s will rejoices and plans to kill the otherworldly demon and punish Fang Yuan. Then a light blue giant hand appears, and the will, trembling intensely, names it Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable’s killer move, Formless Hand. Rank nine Gu Immortals are invincible under the heavens, and some of their killer moves can reappear in heavenly tribulations after their death. The will works out the cause: Fang Yuan set out to kill the child of luck Ma Hong Yun, suffered the backlash from fortune rivalling heaven Gu, and had his luck completely messed up. Giant Sun Immortal Venerable left that Gu; the will loses to its own arrangement. The will recalls the whole world standing helpless as Thieving Heaven robbed countless Gu worms with formless hand. ch. 629
It takes comfort that this hand has five fingers and can seize at most rank five Gu, until innumerable formless hands cover the whole sky. Most have one to five fingers, with sixteen six fingered, nine seven fingered and three eight fingered ones among them. Giant Sun’s will howls that all is finished, and in a will’s self-collapse a large mass of it falls from Eighty-Eight True Yang Building like sand. The rest curls into a lump, exposing the building. ch. 629
Inside the domain, Fang Yuan and the others know nothing of this, and the chase goes on with Gu worm losses on both sides in the hundreds. Fang Yuan has almost no movement Gu left but has found a way out, leading the pursuers in a wide detour before turning toward Tai Bai Yun Sheng. Speaking secretly, he asks to enter Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s immortal aperture, claiming he can shake the pursuers and advance to Gu Immortal there. Tai Bai Yun Sheng hesitates, since a failure would fall on him. Fang Yuan presses him, saying that once he advances they can survive, and that he has complete assurance. ch. 629
