Heavenly Court is recovering from the fate war and has really suffered a huge setback. Most of its members now hibernate again in the immortal graveyard, though Fang Yuan destroyed over half of it. Qin Ding Ling receives no message from Star Constellation’s will, as if it suffered a huge loss, and fears that heaven’s will could assimilate it. That would be a huge nightmare to humanity and Heavenly Court. ^{ch. 1986}

She gathers the immortals in the discussion hall over another matter. Wu Shuai leads the allied army of the two heavens, has taken down Eastern Sea’s Xia clan, and now opposes Qi Sea Ancestor, whom Xia clan asked for help. Being a luck path Gu Immortal rather than a wisdom path one like Fairy Zi Wei, she cannot decide resolutely. She asks what Heavenly Court should do. Some insist the variant humans of the two heavens must be exterminated, while others say the key is Fang Yuan, to whom both Wu Shuai and Qi Sea Ancestor are related. ^{ch. 1986}

One says Qi Sea Ancestor dropped his opposition to Heavenly Court after Duke Long gave him half of the qi path true inheritance, and stayed away from the fate war. Another says Qi Sea Ancestor can likely be Fang Yuan’s disguise. A third replies that Qi Sea Ancestor’s methods against Duke Long differ greatly from Fang Yuan’s unlimited qi sea, making that quite unlikely. Someone adds that Wu Shuai could be Fang Yuan’s clone, since Fang Yuan definitely holds part of Spectral Soul’s foundation through Shadow Sect. ^{ch. 1986}

The immortals cannot convince one another, so Qin Ding Ling decides. Wu Shuai and Qi Sea Ancestor may each be tied to Fang Yuan, but Heavenly Court cannot create enemies everywhere over that. She will not give up on winning over Qi Sea Ancestor, since Duke Long has passed away and Feng Jiu Ge has betrayed Heavenly Court. It desperately needs a pseudo venerable to hold the situation. Duke Long once won Qi Sea Ancestor’s friendship with Primordial Origin’s true inheritance. ^{ch. 1986}

Fang Zheng volunteers to lead a group to Eastern Sea to exterminate the variant human Gu Immortals, since Night Heavenly Wolf Lord is already Heavenly Court’s insider. Though only rank seven, he owns Demon Judgment Board and can fight most rank eight Gu Immortals with it. Another Gu Immortal volunteers to join. Most of Heavenly Court’s members have phantom apertures, so the qi tides do not restrict them. Qin Ding Ling answers that Wu Shuai can be used to probe Qi Sea Ancestor’s background.
