Fang Zheng's Immortal Ascension
Fang Zheng feels a little nervous before his immortal ascension tribulation in Central Continent. He reasons that Immortal Crane Sect, or rather the Heavenly Court behind it, should be the nervous one. He does not know why Central Continent supports him, but he knows he is valuable to it. He once refused to be a pawn, and Fang Yuan’s hint that his uncle and aunt used him as a tool for the inheritance made him very angry. A decade of war in Lang Ya blessed land has changed that, and he now sees that being used at the very least proves his worth. ch. 1646
Rank six Fan Xi Liu, sent by Immortal Crane Sect to help, tells him to begin. Fang Zheng’s aperture holds primeval essence showing A grade talent, but its walls are filled with cracks. A forbidden technique used in a desperate Lang Ya battle caused them and dropped his aptitude to B grade. After Feng Jiu Ge saved him, his aptitude returned to A grade in Central Continent, but Heavenly Court left the cracks to ease his ascension. He crashes his primeval essence into the walls until holes form. ch. 1646
The complete aperture connects to the outside world, and a formless power lifts him into the sky. Fan Xi Liu, watching in concealment, senses abundant heaven’s will, far beyond normal. The tribulation forms as blood qi, and he is glad because the higher-ups wanted a blood path tribulation. Fang Zheng’s human qi is extremely dense, and he tries to balance it with heaven qi and earth qi. Blood rain falls and his Gu worms die from backlash, but Heavenly Court’s support means he does not lack them. ch. 1646
Fan Xi Liu, much more nervous, disrupts the blood clouds to shrink their influence, leaving the balancing of the three qi to Fang Zheng. The huge tribulation is not too overbearing, and heaven’s will seems to have made it so on purpose. The three qi fuse properly. In the heaven and earth resonance, Fang Zheng realizes that blood path really suits him. He tosses a rank five blood path Gu into the condensed qi, which bursts into an immortal aperture. He puts blood revenge Immortal Gu in first, then many blood path mortal Gu, and gains a high grade blessed land. ch. 1646
He chooses to raise his vital blood path Gu to an Immortal Gu with the remaining heaven and earth qi, knowing a further tribulation will follow. Fan Xi Liu asks to enter and help, and Fang Zheng, though angry at the intrusion, opens the door and says plainly to come in. Fan Xi Liu is surprised at his natural manner, and envies him, as Heavenly Court seems to nurture him greatly against Fang Yuan. Several hours later the tribulation is passed. The vital Gu has become his second blood path Immortal Gu, Cold Blood. Several days later, Immortal Crane Sect announces Fang Zheng’s ascension, saying the demon Fang Yuan once harmed him and that Fang Zheng will now be one of the main forces against the demon. Heavenly Court spreads the news through the five regions, hitting Fang Yuan’s reputation as one deserted by his kin while praising its own magnanimity. ch. 1646
Several days after that, Fan Xi Liu bids Zhao Lian Yun goodbye above the clouds, calling her Spirit Affinity Fairy. She came to visit Fang Zheng. Immortal Crane Sect has hidden him, and he is meeting no one. Fan Xi Liu dares not be rude to her, the current fairy of Spirit Affinity House, a rank six who controls rank nine love Gu. He promises to pass her gift to Fang Zheng personally, and she thanks him and flies away. ch. 1646
