Fang Yuan's Tribulation
Several months later, in a Southern Border valley, rank six Ba Tao strains while Tie Yi, a rank six Tie clan Gu Immortal and son of Tie Qu Zhong, activates a killer move. A red light pillar shoots skyward until an old looking Gu Immortal suppresses it, revealing a seven floored pagoda that looks bronze. Another Beacon Tower is built. The three are one of more than a dozen small groups rushing to build Beacon Towers since Southern Border’s righteous path forces agreed to collaborate. ch. 1621
The old Gu Immortal calls Beacon Tower truly unbelievable for transporting Gu Immortals though it is a Gu House formed from mortal Gu. At least one hundred towers are needed to reach an Immortal Gu House’s power. Over one thousand now stand in Southern Border and can transport rank seven Gu Immortals, while rank eights need at least ten thousand. Ba Tao mumbles that a tower near a tributary of the River of Time could have let the righteous path save her grandfather in time. ch. 1621
Tie Yi’s father Tie Qu Zhong has also been captured by Fang Yuan. Tie Yi hates Fang Yuan, but admits the righteous path would not have united so quickly without the captures. He finds it ironic that a demonic path overlord made Tie clan’s old dream of Beacon Towers come true, though the impending great era is another important reason. ch. 1621
The tower suddenly lets out a strange sound and shakes slightly. Tie Yi says one of the Beacon Towers in Southern Border has been completely destroyed. The old Gu Immortal vows to kill the attackers as a warning, since demonic and lone cultivators are extremely likely to destroy any tower they discover. Then the tower trembles nonstop as many towers are destroyed in succession. The three learn that the destroyer is Fang Yuan, and Tie Yi notes that his wisdom path methods can deduce the towers while Fixed Immortal Travel takes him anywhere. Ba Tao furiously curses Heavenly Court for letting him steal Fixed Immortal Travel, and the old Gu Immortal advises returning to their clans. ch. 1621
Wu Yong, Chi Qu You and other clan leaders meet urgently. Tie clan’s first supreme elder says Fang Yuan has probably seen the towers’ threat and is destroying them early. Shang clan’s first supreme elder says to let him, since towers of mortal Gu cost little. Wu Yong frowns, calling Fang Yuan crafty, and says he feels the action has a deeper meaning. Another immortal proposes that one of the towers is extremely near where Fang Yuan will undergo tribulation in Southern Border, so he destroyed many. ch. 1621
Wisdom path Gu Immortals deduce three locations most likely for the tribulation. The righteous path orders them investigated and guarded heavily. Southern Border’s Gu Immortal world moves with an unprecedented and united pace to kill their common enemy. Then shocking news reaches every force: heaven and earth qi is unusually disturbed over an extremely large part of the five regional mountain range. ch. 1621
