The formation spirit warns that dismantling the Gu formation would destroy the spirit too. Dancer Hong Yun agrees to keep it. Left uncontrolled it should have broken apart entirely when it collapsed earlier, but the spirit salvaged a smaller incomplete formation that has lasted since, along with formation flag Immortal Gu. It tells her to use that Gu, created by Zhen Yuan Zi to supplement the formation spirit’s limits, to store the formation before placing it in her immortal aperture, so she only needs to learn to control that flag Gu. ch. 1415
Some days later on a very ordinary sand dune in Western Desert, Fang Yuan lets his concealed light fade fully into the night, wondering about the final effect of the immortal killer move fixed luck. Rested, Fang Yuan returns to modifying the killer move self cleansing into a Gu formation, and as a formation path grandmaster his progress is rapid, nearly finished except that one needed Gu is still missing. He could borrow it from Lang Ya Sect, whose formation plate Immortal Gu sits only at rank six, a high chance of failure against the rank seven self cleansing formation. Using it would also mean erasing the sub-main teleportation Gu formation it records, then setting up self cleansing once so the plate could reproduce it afterward. Lang Ya Sect has no formation path Gu Immortals and depends on that plate for its teleportation formations, so losing the recording is unacceptable to Lang Ya land spirit. Fang Yuan reassures Lang Ya land spirit that as a formation path grandmaster he can recreate the sub-main teleportation formation. Lang Ya land spirit is left hesitating. ch. 1415
