Yu Yi Ye Zi warns her that Zhao Pu’s remaining abilities are unremarkable, but that his extremely powerful blood path immortal killer move turns all his blood into a stream, and skin it touches begins bleeding that worsens over time. Zhao Lian Yun tells him to rest while she fights. Zhao Pu welcomes another person looking for death. She activates Life Locking Silver Chain, six extremely nimble chains forming a strong defense around her; intensive training and a life and death battle with Zhao Da Niu leave her decisive, without her earlier inexperience. She follows with Meteor Rain: countless meteors, extremely thin and small, fall in a storm nothing could dodge. Zhao Pu raises a huge bloody cloud like an umbrella. It shrinks visibly under the impacts as he lunges at her, but her chains react faster than she does and drive him back repeatedly. Shocked that the chains attack and coordinate on their own, he praises her defense and retreats to replenish his cloud. Spirit Affinity House and Heavenly Court chose these killer moves for a beginner: easy to control, mild in backlash, and extremely refined. ch. 1262
Zhao Lian Yun quietly attempts a third killer move, slightly more complex than the other two. Under real battle pressure her first tries fail, though her chains still shield her. Zhao Pu closes in mocking her, then opens his mouth to unleash an enormous explosion, revealing he also wields sound path alongside blood path. The blast catches her unprepared, toppling a little less than half the Gu worms risen in her phantom aperture, destroying many mortal Gu, and reaching Yu Yi Ye Zi as he heals. Zhao Pu keeps striking from every side, and though her chains keep her safe, his constant interference stops the third move from activating. She finds his ordinary methods cannot break her chains, yet judges him extremely troublesome for the endless methods he produces, and the repeated obstruction may have tempered her will instead. ch. 1262
At last her eyes flash with a piercing light. She spits fire onto her own palm and feeds it until it swells sideways into a staff. Its flames shrink until completely gone, and it condenses into what looks cast from crimson bronze. She opens her mouth and lets out a sharp cry, and a golden ray of light shoots from her mouth to strike the fire staff. ch. 1262
